I had heard about SpaceCraft on the Escappees Forum, we stopped at a rest area near Columbia last week, while waiting for FD to return to the RumRunner, I noticed the building directly behind the rest area said SraceCraft, I clicked on the Nav screen and found out the next exit was only a 1/2...

Before you start.... Drive out to Concordia MO and talk to Wyatt at Spacecraft, if your conversion is going to be a nice on (rather than just someplace to haul dirt bikes and sleep, I doubt that you can build it yourself much cheaper than SpaceCraft can. They do as much or as little as you want...

    Anyone who owns a Freight-Shaker....

Souns Dyn-O-Mat! oops I mean Dyn-O-Mite! if you roll on dyno-mat, just wash all the steel down real good with soap and water, then a quick wipe with rubbing alcohol, and the surface is reay to roll on the dynomat. you should use a small 1" roller to press it into all the grooves and corners. We...

    My new tv mount.

We would like to run it down to Nashville the last weekend of April, we have a conference there. We want to stop in Kansas City, there is a Mexican restaurant that serves the worlds greatest Mararitas at least we thought so the last time we were there. Then overnight in a Walmart and on to St...

    starting to build motorhome

Make sure that the windows you bought are for both the right AND left side, putting them on the wrong side may get a bit breezy and soggy. Thats how I wound up giving my 4 25 dollar a peice windows to some ice fishermen for their Ice houses. Sounds like a great trip, we spent over 3 grand, then...

New here, but hoping to find some ideas...

I was at a RV show 2 weekends ago, there are some very, Very VERY good bargains on almost new pull type units right now. I saw a lower roofed 24' unit 2008 model that looked like a holdover or used a couple times before returned. under 8 grand. I could have put that on the back of my GMC 6500...

    overcab bunk

We looked into foam mattresses, but we plan to use or conversion primarily in summertime, and foam mattresses hold heat where a coil spring will not. Ours is a "Full" as we needed the small difference down the sides from a queen. it is only 4" thick. they can adjust the firmness/softness of it...

    Peterbilt/Wanderlodge conversion

Step bits? never tried them, I did borrow a home built frame drill, you could if you had all your holes marked and possibly piloted rent a magnetic drill for a half day and drill all the holes. A hand held 1/2 drill will require a few extra bits as you will break them long before the dull. blizz

    Peterbilt/Wanderlodge conversion

Ray, you are not in the woods by yourself, we might lurk and read, but if ya need something that I can help with just post, I get by here 'bout once a day. I cut my frame rails with a Dewalt saw-zall and 3 $2.00 each metal blades, it took around one song on the radio per cut, but 3 beers to...

    Looking for clearance lights

I'll let ya get by with crimp connectors, AND heats-hrink. The problem with scotch-locks is it is very easy to chop the individual wires off! then you only have a few strands to conduct the current. Then the weight and shape of the scotch-lock starts to bounce however minutely as you go down the...

    Looking for clearance lights

EEEEEKKKK!!!! Scotchlocks!!! The scourge of the 12volt world!! Why anyone would use those other than the fact that they are lazy is beyond me. Please take the time to solder and heat shrink those connections properly, you should have enough wire stuffed in there to do it right. -blizz
