The Michelin rubber compound is known to crack like that. Even so, these are the only tires I will run up front. We blew out a 2-year old date coded Firestone 11R steer tire a few years ago. We switched to 315 Michelin tires after that using the FMCA discount.

I've been wanting to add their system on our rig but I've always worried about the battery life in the valve stem cap units. Have you had good or bad experiences with battery life? Which cap sensors are you using, just the caps or pass through?

I bought a set of used Alcoa 9" wheels when I had to switch to 315 tires. $80 for the pair and some elbow grease and they look pretty good. I wouldn't mind going to a different offset though to push the tires out a little more.
