    Slide toppers?

$624.00 for slide and parts $372.00 installation $49.83 misc BS charge. $35.71 tax $1081.54 total I guess it kept me from spending an afternoon on the ladder.

    Slide toppers?

Unfortunately, the "hub" mechanism on mine was damaged and no longer holding the shaft in the center of the roll. The aluminum cover had also worn through the topper in two places.

    LED Headlights

I did some reading on replacing the bulbs alone with LEDs. What I found was that in some instances the LED bulb may be DOT approved, but the LED bulb coupled with the old school housing may create a non-compliant output. Having been on the receiving end of what I believed to be non-compliant...

    Slide toppers?

I chickened out and just had a new (non-cartridge) Dometic awning installed on the main slide only. That complete upgrade will have to wait.

    LED Headlights

Ok, so I have a new pair of JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2 Dual burn lights, wiring adapters and complete new headlight bezels and light assemblies laying on my work bench. Since my existing headlight housings are hazed and the bezels are a bit worn, I figured I would swap them for the new ones...

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

Ok. Although it is buried pretty deep in their rules, I'd hate for someone to be excluded.

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

The rules for the Anchor resort have a little line in there that reads: CAMPER / RV: All units must be factory manufactured only. Do you think that may cause a problem for some of our members?

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

I think it would be good to get together. I would really enjoy the opportunity to see other people's rigs and meet fellow TC owners. Unfortunately, with four children spread between college and high school, we have very limited time for a get away. We would have to hit a bullseye on our...

    Storage bay latches

Don, Thanks for the reply. If I start pulling and replacing them, I'll keep you in mind. They are pricey little devils! I remember going down this road before and chickening/cheaping out. I may have to buy a couple of chrome ones to see how they look. It is a shame the finish did not hold...

    Storage bay latches

My Renegade is equipped with Southco C5 type lever latches. The powder coat on them is starting to fade and they look a bit rough. Questions: Does anyone know where to locate the part number on these things? Does anyone have any experience re-painting them or having them re powder coated...

Members On the road, where are you now?

Got back from Holiday Travel Park in Virginia Beach on Monday. That place is such a hoot! So much to see. We've been going for several years now and it never disappoints. Had the best neighbors behind us! I gave those folks a gallon bag of fresh caught tilefish and they gave me a CASE of...

    New Build

I don't know anything about building a rig out from scratch, but I thought I'd drop in to welcome you to the site. Would love to see photos of your work in progress. Good luck with your build.

    Anyone Replaced/Upgraded Drivers Seat?

Thats a good idea. I never understood why the seats were plumbed directly into the air system without a shut-off. We have Flex Steel seats on Bostrom Bases. Not happy with this arrangement, but I hope to put a little more wear and tear on them before switching them out.

    What to polish with?

I inquired about polishing the Renegade last year, Woody send me a care guide from Fiber-Tech. Apparently, these are the folks that make the gel coated panels for Renegade. The Fiber-tech document recommends only waxes intended for fiberglass finishes "such as Meguiars Carnuba Cleaner Wax...

    Toter purchase advice

Those seasoned drivers will make it look deceptively easy. Then again, I guess it is easy to them. I only drove three months over the road before my hip gave out. Even after three months, I was still double clutching whenever the truck was heavy. Clean accurate downshifting still seems...

Anyone take a CDL test with a gooseneck toter?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck on maneuvers. At least you won't have to repeat the pre-trip and air brakes. One chore out of the way. Good luck with the rest!

    Found my next motorhome

Muddy, sandy, grassy, salty, and wet! Because I am so neurotic about the cleanliness of "my" motorhome, nothing meeting one of the previously listed descriptions is allowed on board....poor jeep.

    Found my next motorhome

That wouldn't hurt either. A hose off spot outside of my fantasy mud room would be nice. We are messy campers. Hunting, fishing, diving, 4X4, etc. We seem to have problems dealing with our wet and or dirty gear when we get back to the truck. Right now our Jeep toad is the mud room...

    Found my next motorhome

I wish! It is nice to think about. Heck, I'd really settle for more time to use the rig I have. I really like that floorplan. Although, I'd love to turn the rear bath into a mud room with a separate entry door, and move the shower forward to replace the w/d and pantry. It seems that all of...

2019 Renegade Motorhome Toterhome Western Star 3400XM I just need one of you guys to buy it and take real good care of it for about 10 years, before you put it on the market. Then it will be in my price range. Standing by:D

That is an ingenious setup. Love the Solaire grill too! I don't know how I lost track of this thread. Thanks for sharing the photos!
