Mine must be some sort of bead balancing as well, not a weight on any of the wheels.

    45' moving van conversion

I think that is going to be a very cool setup. I am sort of catching up here. I had just remarked that I was curious why there were not more dry van conversions.

newbee from New-B(runswick) Canada (get it?)

Welcome! The plans look good. I've always wondered why you don't see more dry van conversions.

    The Truck Conversion Joke Thread

Guy walks up to a bar with a duck on his head. Bartender says, "now there is something you don't see every day." The duck pipes up and says, "I know, it started out as just a little bump on my ass."

    LED Headlights

I would, but the housings are starting to haze a bit. In truth, David started this whole LED quest/obsession. He sold me an excellent set of LED fog lights to replace my factory lights. Now, I don't think I'll be content until all lights on the front end are replaced with bright white leds...

David has been working on Coronado headlights for over a year. No success yet, I assume.

12,500w onan generator fuel filter question

I watched a Cummins/Onan specialist fight one once. He never complained, but it sure looked like I'd skin a few knuckles doing it. I like Doug's approach too, but I have no idea where I could install that secondary filter that would be practical to service. Now that we bring it up...

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

That is absolutely gorgeous country! Thanks for posting the photos. When returning from AK in '16 we took the Icefields Parkway on our return. We can't wait to get back to W. Canada and AK!

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

Isn't it a pity that we have these fine rigs, with all the great engineering, and we still find ourselves slathering gunk out of a tube onto the roofs to prevent leaks! I've been fortunate only having one minor leak, so far, but I'd sure like to see a better alternative to the annual trip up...

    Tag hitch to gooseneck insert

I had been looking around for one of those. Don't own a gooseneck now, but I was considering a gooseneck open car hauler. I have not seen one of those adapters since my first TC test drive. The gentleman who owned that TC pulled a huge race trailer on one of those mounts, but I've never seen...

Thoughts and Observations on Driving a Luxury Class A DP

I've got an idea that a truck conversion seldom comes into consideration for most RV buyers. The reasons are many, but based on what I read over on the RV forums it is the "floorpan first" approach to purchasing that probably contributes most. If safety, power, handling characteristics, ease...

    40' motor home Pete advice

I think Showhauler will try to work with you on the chassis you prefer, but I am not sure about the cost. There are a few pre-emissions rigs on racing junk, a couple are petes. You may want to take a look there if you haven't already.

Making better use of the vertical space is part of my objective too. I'm hoping that this arrangement will actually free up some space. You are a better man than me. If I had to routinely face mosquitos, I'd be cooking inside!

I think I follow you. You are doubling the glides to get the extension that you want. What sort of cabinet or stand will you use from there? I'm not sure if this is a cop out or an epiphany, but today I was contemplating just installing a MorRyde Freezer tray in the storage space, then...

The hip is mending amazingly well. The instantaneous pain relief is nothing short of astounding! Thanks for asking. I am assembling a picture of what your are describing in my head. The extra extension that you describe is key. As soon as I can get back out to my shop, I want to start on...

I know it will require a series of slide mechanisms to accomplish my goal. How did you go about fastening the slides to the storage boxes?

Thanks! We try to cook outside as much as possible. However, hot weather will certainly run me inside. I am contemplating some sort of cabinet mounted on a 100% slide out, with drawer type slides extending out further for the cooking equipment. One of these:Rev-a-Shelf Heavy-Duty Mixer Lift...

As you can see from my other posts, I'm trying to get my winter upgrade projects all lined up. I am scheduled to have my left hip replaced tomorrow. Assuming I survive the surgery to become ambulatory again, I want to be ready to dive in on some truck upgrades in a few months. If you have...
