Did a quick round trip to Key West last week. No transmission or engine brake issues to report.

I had considered that TST system previously. I think I will look into that further. Thanks

    Dually valve stem cap!!!

Ok, I give. What is the secret to removing the valve stem cap that points inward on the duals?! I simply cannot get my hand through the hole in the rim. I have to draft one of my daughters each time I want to check the tire pressure!

    Washer Dryer

We really wanted to do that upgrade. Renegade wanted a pretty penny to do it, and I would have lost my closet and my manual archive (lower cabinet containing a pile of manuals), so we put it on the back burner. Nicely done!

    Over head Light

That looks great! I've been shopping for an upgrade/update to ours. Is that fixture glass?

The manual states that it is an engine brake. I think somewhere in my reading I read that it is a true "Jacobs or Jacobs style" brake, not an exhaust brake.

You are all right, I am just not conveying the matter improperly. It is a one time thing at startup. The brake switch must remain in the off position until the truck is warmed up and out of neutral for the first time. Once rolling for the first time after startup, the brake switch may be...

Mine doesn't operate in neutral either, but it can be switched on while in neutral. That is what causes the problem.

When departing, I did not activate the engine brake until the truck was warmed up and we were idling down the street. At the first light (and all subsequent stops), the brake worked as it should. My truck is equipped with a generic electronically actuated Hi-Low engine brake. Apparently it...

Sorry, I'm just circling back to your post. I copy you on toting that excursion. Here is the dilemma we find ourselves in. If we get a covered trailer for just our little Audi, and stay within our length restrictions, we don't get any extra space for gear or space for the boys. If we get a...

On the Saturday morning of my weekend journey I had an unsettling thing happen with my Freightliner. When I approached the first traffic light of the day on a 55mph road, the engine brake almost stalled the truck, instead of just letting go once the truck was sufficiently decelerated...

I don't think we can afford anything new. Unfortunately, small used stackers with a/c seem to be nearly impossible to find. A Renegade would be my first choice, just because I'm funny that way and would love for the truck and trailer to match. However, as porky noted, they are some of the...

I've been looking for a half an hour. Can't find a used one either:( Follow-up: I sent them a message. Didn't bother with the price on that one, just asked about a "less accessorized" version to see what they may have to offer.

I'm sure, but they look quite pricey. The one you sent in the link looked perfect. Unfortunately, I'd have to strip quite a few options out to get the price down.

With regard to vehicles, I only plan to take one of the SUVs and sometimes a golf cart. I was thinking of getting a lift with a complete floor and making that into a loft for the boys. I think there would still be room for some bikes and stuff up there. I really need to keep the length down...

I wish I had known that you are a DJI dealer. My sister in law and I just gave my wife an Inspire for her birthday. 78 tall would be close for our excursion. Would need 7700lbs capacity just for it too...then add up our other stuff. I'm pretty sure that would put us real close to capacity.

You are a post ahead of me. I just looked at the v-nose trailer. I'd prefer to go that route, but I don't believe either of our SUVs will fit in there or they may be too heavy for either the axles or the ramp. Our list is very similar to yours: Either a Ford Excursion or Audi Q7 golf cart 5...

Sam, that is one heck of a rig! We had a similar experience when we test "rode" in our truck. It had a 31' stacker hanging on the back because the dealer could not find the key that opened the locker housing the jack. So we test rode with a stacker in tow. Afterwards, the dear wife really...

If I go with a regular car hauler or a not so tall stacker, I could definitely go that route with a rooftop unit. Unfortunately, many of the stackers are maximum height. The front mount ACs are pretty spendy. I really want to keep OAL down. I keep going to quaint little campgrounds in little...

We just took a little weekend trip to Chincoteague, VA. Our adventure resurrected the stacker, 4-down, open trailer discussion. I remain a fan of an open trailer. The wife is now really pushing a stacker, since her car got so filthy while riding on an open trailer in the rain! Another...

    Converting to residential fridge

X2 I needed heavy duty cables to power a moveable winch on my mudboat. Welding cables fit the bill. After three years they remain very flexible. They are impervious to mud and oil, and you can walk on them with no ill effect. I have been curious why these have not become a more popular...
