    Hello from VA

That's a beaut! "Call for price" translation, "if you gotta ask you can't afford it." I'll bet they're asking $380k for it.

    Hello from VA

Hey, I just had a great idea. Buy this rig and convert the front part of the trailer to sleeping quarters for the kids. Then when the kids aren't with you just drive the coach. And when you're done with the kids tear out the sleeping quarters and load more toys in...

    Hello from VA

This is exciting. I love shopping, especially with somebody else's money. With a truck conversion you are going to have a bit less space inside than an equivalent length Class A. But the trade-off is worth it for me. Nothing like zooming up those mountain passes past all the A's crawling up the...

And that's where my secondary air is always at too. Oh well. Nobody seems to think it's a problem at the shop where they work on it.

Hahahah, I was just going the flow of traffic. That's normal oil pressure for Cats. Here's a snip from their web site: What is normal oil pressure? Typical oil pressure range for engines running at rated speed and operating temperature with SAE 10W-30 or 15w40 oil is: C-10, C11, C-12 & C13...

    Stuck between trucks

Don't compare new prices. There are so many good deals on used Truck Conversions. You would be miles ahead and way happier with a used Truck Conversion than a new Super C.

    Truck Weight

Cool. Your weights are almost exactly what mine are. I've never weighed my enclosed trailer though. I know the empty trailer weight is supposed to be 3100 lbs.

And they're safer than a d/p. I'll second everything Don said. I am 36' but I also tow a enclosed car trailer. Total hitched length I'm at 68'. Love it.

I've got the Cat C-12, 10 speed three pedal autoshift trans. Looks like my gearing is pretty close to yours? You're mpg is slightly better than mine. I've heard those Mercedes engines are good mpg's. Mines rated 430 h/p 1650 tq.

I don't have an inverter in mine. I just run the generator if we need 120 volts. Gives me a good reason to exercise the generator.

    When I'm cruising at 65 mph I think I'm about 1350 rpm's?

Do you know what rear axle ratio you've got? I think it should be on some label somewhere. I found mine on a build label of some sort behind the fuse box cover I think?

Blinds might be found at rv surplus places around Indiana. I think I've heard "Bontragers" mentioned. Or maybe just Lowes or Home Depot? Might not be able to find blinds that secure at the bottom like RV type blinds do though. Truck-lite makes the lights. But I think you need to buy them at a...

    moving van interior wall construction

Wow, you have lots of energy. This sounds like a huge project. Seems to me there was somebody around here building a similar trailer? I think he was in Arizona. If I find it I'll post link.

That's a beauty! Looks just great. I think 7 mpg while running the generator is maybe a bit low. How fast where you going? Headwind can cut the mpg's pretty good too. I travel from MN to Ohio every summer and I almost always get better mpg going east with the tail wind. I think you got an...

Great! Another T/C owner!! Yes, this is a pretty quiet forum, as forums go. I have a theory that we are all having so much fun in our trucks because they hardly ever break so we're not typing away on this thing. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you. Pictures of the rig would be greatly...

For my glasses (readers and sun) I have an empty Kleenex box laying on the dash and I toss them in that. Works okay. Not elegant.

I agree. My cab had no cup holders. I am an avid bicyclist so I took a couple water bottle holders that are normally mounted on a bicycle and I bolted them to the dash. They work great. Most often I drink water so I just keep a bicycle water bottle in there. But, when the Mrs. makes us smoothies...

    starting to build motorhome

Aha, very good. I have an enclosed car trailer that we pull. We use a winch to pull the race car in, but regular cars I usually just drive in. And then perform some incredible acrobatics to get out of it. I sure wish I had a bail-out door like that.

Recommendation on what truck to buy

Ramp is on the back instead of the side, oh well. And the garage is 10' instead of 8'. Pretty sure you'd not be able to buy a truck and build to this for $78k.
