    CB radio and backup camera

I have a cb and it's helped me a few times. Truckers will generally notify each other of jam ups and you might get a heads up in time to take an exit and work around. I know for a fact they helped me do that to avoid two huge jam ups.

    CB radio and backup camera

My rig was wired with a backup camera mounted above on the back. Then they also mounted a plug down near the hitch for a camera on the trailer. Guessing they wired yours that way too? If you can't find a plug for it then maybe they ran the wire and just zip tied it up to the frame near the back...

    Renegade Lights

Not unusual for a switch to fail. I'd try to figure out what switch does nothing. Pull it out and test it with a volt meter or test light.

I'm with State Farm and they're very reasonable.

    Stuck between trucks

I had been scouring the interwebs looking for a rig. I did find a few close to me that I went and looked at. Even tried to buy one of them but we couldn't agree on the price. Poor guy should have taken my offer because I found the truck a year later still for sale by the same guy and he was then...

Hay, you use that vcr? I thought tapes were obsolete? That dvd changer is the exact same one I've got. Do you have a subwoofer under the sofa?

    Another organizational tip

My steps are open underneath. But I don't put any shoes under them. When we open the door to go in I prefer to trot on up the steps so we can get the door shut quick. Too many bugs in MN. And, if I had to bend over and pull the shoes out from under there before opening the door I'd fall over and...

    Working the dash

Aaaahhhhh, nice phone mount. Except I refuse to buy an apple since they won't agree to use the universal micro usb charge plug that all the other phone makers agreed to. That pisses me off. And to make it worse they change their charger plugs every once in awhile just to force you to buy a bunch...

Works good for keeping flashlights and fly swatter handy too, and dog leashes.

    Another organizational tip

Since we've been talking about tricks to organize the interior thought I'd show you guys this. I think I mentioned it awhile ago to Don but forgot to get back with a picture. We always like to take our shoes off when we get in. I bought two of these things at Walmart and screwed them to the wood...

Where do you put your phone Don?

    TV hole

I'm not sure how you'd do it with a hinge? One thing I probably should have done is make the frame higher so that cross member up top is way up near the top of the opening. This would make it clearer access to put stuff in there when the tv is swung away. The drawback is it would have required...

    Working the dash

I'm not sure if GoPro would work. I don't know enough about them. I use a G1W-C dash cam. Bought it off ebay. It just keeps recording all the time. I have it set for 3 minute files. If I see something I want to save and recover I just make a note of the time and when I get to a computer I plug...

    Working the dash

I wish I had more plugs in the overhead console. I only have one right now. I use it for my phone. But I also run a dash cam stuck to the windshield so I have that plugged into a socket down on the dash. I have one of those three to one cigarette lighter adapters stuck to the dash. I should put...

    Working the dash

Looks nice. For some reason I can't seem to get the pictures any bigger so my old eyes don't show me enough. Oh well. Look into those Ram X-grip mounts. I like mine. The only negative is it takes two hands to remove/replace the phone. So for a moment I have to steer with my knee. The mesh bag...

    TV hole

I used pretty substantial bolts and nylock nuts too. Don't want anything coming loose. This is a lcd tv. I think the led tv's are lighter so probably wouldn't have to make it so heavy duty?

    TV hole

That hole on the right is where the dvd/stereo is. It used to house a vcr and the satelite box. I tossed the vcr out. I have Directv and when we go on the road I take the box from our house bedroom and stick it on top of the dvd/stereo and hook the wires up. Not the cleanest look but it works...

    TV hole

I think it's a 27" unit. I tried driving down the road with it pushed in and it worked it's way out. So, I affixed a couple pieces of wide velcro to the base of the cabinet and stuck the fuzzy side to the bottom edge of the tv. When it's pushed in I just push the velcro strips up to hold the...

    TV hole

My rig had a 19" tube set up there. I built a frame out of square steel tubing: And bolted it in place. I put a good size piece (actually two scraps I had around) of plywood underneath it since the base of that cabinet wasn't as heavy duty as I wanted. I also put another piece of finished...

    Hello from VA

My son is an owner/operator, a good friend is also. And I've hung around the shop with the mechanics a bit. Everybody says run away from a Lonestar. I agree they do look cool. But I trust these guys.
