    Converting to residential fridge

I added a disconnect switch to kill power to the 2k inverter.

    Converting to residential fridge

The top inverter is the 600 watt one that I wired to the two televisions. Here's a close up of the switch to decide which battery bank to use, that large black one. Also shows the 250 amp fuse I put in for the 2k inverter. And the 1 gauge wire coming into the box there. The bottom one has the...

    Converting to residential fridge

I'm sure it combines them. The last picture above shows the big black round switch on the lower right. That allows you to select the different battery groups. If the wire from the front battering is only a small gauge wire it would not pass much amperage. Therefore not much help powering the...

    Converting to residential fridge

I think you guys are correct. I did some testing yesterday. With my 55 amp Iota converter/charger turned on the inverter runs the fridge just fine. When I shut off the Iota the fridge won't start. I think my batteries are several years old. I only have two 12 volt group 24 batteries. I do have 3...

    Converting to residential fridge

Well, the plot thickens. I got the 2k inverter all installed. It runs the fridge for about 5 minutes and then starts giving me a beep about every 30 seconds and flashes the 04 error code. The manual says that's an overheat code. Then the display goes back to the voltage/watts reading until it...

Registering a Volvo as RV in California

Welcome to the Truck Conversion forum! Sounds like a nice setup you have there. I would think if the tractor is already registered as an rv it shouldn't be too hard to transfer it to California as such. This forum is mostly Truck Conversion motorcoaches. Single units with the tractor and living...

    Int. S1654LP Retired UHAUL Build

Good, he's a great guy. For sure I wouldn't expect him to screw you on it. The bed was built by 2L Trucks in Texas. And then he had JW Morgan do a bunch of improvements on it in Tennessee. I've seen the truck at the HDT Rally and it's real nice. He's got a ton of money into that build. You'd...

    Int. S1654LP Retired UHAUL Build

Have you found a replacement? A friend of mine is selling his truck. It works great for hauling a Jeep on the deck and a trailer of whatever you want. 2003 International HD Jeep Hauler & 5th Wheel Tow Vehicl for Sale in NASHVILLE, TN | RacingJunk Classifieds This a beautiful build too. And I...

    Washer Dryer redo

Sounds like one of my projects. In my old age it's nice to just work a bit and then sit back and admire it for awhile. Or snack on something. Looks good.

    Dually valve stem cap!!!

I'm not endorsing Pressure Pro either. I thought they were the best system when I bought mine back in 2010. Now I'm not so sure. But I do think any system is much better than no system.

    Dually valve stem cap!!!

I have a Pressure Pro tire pressure monitor system. So I only have to take the sender off when it needs more air. And the senders are much larger diameter than a valve cap so not that huge of a deal to remove. I really like having a pressure monitor system. You might want to look into getting one.

    Asset tracking or Fleet tracking?

Uuuummmm, this is primarily a site for people interested in using Heavy Duty Trucks as the chassis for a motorhome. Not much commercial stuff around here. Maybe you should convert one of your trucks to a motorhome?

I think I'm with Porky on this one. I bet it's something funky with the transmission.

    Over head Light

Looks good. I'd use a bit of locktight on that center hardware so it doesn't loosen up and fall off.

    Washer Dryer

Cool. My rig is too small for a washer/dryer. We've used a laundromat when on long trips.

That's pretty weird. I have a Cat motor with a true Jacobs 2 stage. I don't know if your Detroit uses a true Jacobs or some competitor. I'm pretty sure I've left the Jake brake switch on when shifting in/out of neutral. Never heard of something like that happening. Can't wait to hear how it...

    Stacker questions

Powerhouse Coach builds trailers. They also have a self propelled option. I wonder if they could mount the self propelled part onto a trailer you bring them?
