    Mileage - Propane Injection?

The C7 is 7.2 liter or 441 cu in The C15 is 15.2 liter or 928 cu in My C15 is set to 475hp 1650 ft lb torque. A 300 hp C7 has max 860 ft lbs torque. Notice that even though hp is up approx 50%, the torque is double. Torque takes you up the hill. My Century Freightliner @55,000 lbs total...

    Mileage - Propane Injection?

When is the mileage the worst? The C7 isn't the biggest engine out there and you may just be overworking it, giving you the bad results. For example, I got better fuel mileage pulling a heavy trailer with a 454 equipped dually crewcab then I do pulling a smaller trailer with my new 5.3L 2010...

    Century brake switch

That is where the local dealership to9ld me I could find it. Looked all over the truck and couldn't find either a lever switch or air pressure switch that could have been the brake lite switch so, I think they may be correct.

    Front axle weights

I am going to go after Freightliner to upgrade the axle from the 12,000 to a 14,600. Will be losing the air ride but will feel better with the increased capacity. Have to upgrade the tires too. Thanks for your input.

    Front axle weights

I have a 2005 Freightliner Century series-Cat C15, autoshift 12 spd, tandem axle. Currently set up with 22 ft. box as a mobile repair shop. Would like to have a 28 - 32 ft Showhau;er installed in 4 yrs. Freightliner spec'd the truck and only put a 12,000 lb axle in the front, now I am not sure...

    Front axle weights

I posted this question on the other forum and didn't get many replies. I am wondering what the front axle weighs on your different motorhome conversions. I may need to have Freightliner upgrade mine to 14,600 lb.

    Front axle capacity

I have just recieved a new Freightliner Century day cab with a 22 foot box that I am going to work out of for the next 4 years and then have converted to a motorhome. My situation is this, the front axle is already at 12430 lbs. I know now that it should have been spec'd with a larger capacity...

    New chassis selection

Mase-saw your rig in the gallery-KILLER. I think I saw somewhere that it is a Kingsley? Do they order the T2000 without the sleeper or is it removed at the factory? That is what I would like to have but KW won't sell it as a daycab. PS looks like it is going 80 MPH parked.

    New chassis selection

Mase- thanks for the input. What engine,HP and torque do you have? The 18 speed will skip shift, so it doesn't hit all 18 unless it is necessary-right? The 115 may be a little too much for some people, but I have seen some race teams fly by me with 18 wheelers, at over 100 MPH more than...

    New chassis selection

Getting close to ordering the KW T600. A few questions for the experienced owners-what gear ratio do you run in the rear axles, any idea what top speed the 3.90 ratio gives. Looks like big torque motors require a Meritor 16 speed-ever heard of getting a 12 speed because it will be used as a...

    HP ratings

I spec'd a 2004 385 Peterbilt with a C13 Cat (435hp/1650 torque)with Freedomline 12 spd and all the toys and whistles. Thought to myself-why not put a C15 (475/1650) and be done with it. All the same options and for only $75 more gave me the big Cat. No kidding-have the quotes to prove it...

    New chassis selection

I am considering purchasing a cab and chassis in the near future with the intention of having a conversion done in a few years. (The truck will be used for business for now) I notice that there are many Freightliner Columbia's used and very few others-why is this? I have demoed KW, Peterbilt...
