    2006 mbe4000 delete egr?

Does anyone know of a way to delete the egr on a 2006 mbe4000? I wonder if there would be any mpg increases with this mod? I'm familiar with deleting egr and Dpf on 1ton trucks and the benefits, I just wonder if it would help with the Mercedes in the motorhome. I am trying to increase the fuel...

    Slide toppers?

I had a small slide out in my old renegade and took it the local camper fixer. They ordered the new fabric and replaced it for around $130 with tax.

    Insurance Alternatives ??

I have State Farm and with our home and cars, the rv policy is around $950 a year with similar coverages. My rig is valued at $150k. It's my understanding the rates really go up after the $150k valuation? So yours may not be that far off. You can go on progressive website and get a quote, they...

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

Anchor down would be awesome,I agree about the next year timing also. My twin boys are wanting to go and play in the lake! Close to summer is good for me, but this place seems to book up pretty fast. Was browsing around on their website and it was booked through August and maybe longer for this...

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

As far as a meeting spot, I too am still working (42yrs old ways to go to retirement) but I would drive 8-10 hours. I think it would be cool to meet up at renegade in Indiana, but I'm kinda biased being that I have a renegade. Lol! If anybody use to watch the Andy Griffith show, you would know...

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

Bush pilot, can you put me on the map? I don't have or need a google account. Are you listing actual address or just town? I google mapped your Texas spot and it showed a driving instructor school! Lol! I went to the satellite view. Anyway my address is 150 Harley hill trl mt airy, nc 27030...

Truck conversion meet and greet rally

I've been looking around at some rv forums lately and ran across a rally for dynamax owners. I was looking at the dx3 (not to buy one, I have a friend who just put a deposit on one today) and noticed they had a rally last month. Which gave me the idea of maybe we could get one together for truck...

Members On the road, where are you now?

Made it back with no issues at all, truck and trailer performed excellent. 1083 miles averaged 7.14 mpg, not great, but that's including generator time. I also got in a hurry to get back home, 72-75mph is not good for fuel mileage! Lol!

What type of xantrex do you have? I want to upgrade my renegade and I'm kinda shopping around. How may batteries do you have and what all does it power up without the generator?

    What to polish with?

Thanks for posting that! It's basically what I saw in my owners manual. I was hoping for some more info, but this will work. I plan on using meguiars wax after buffing out the oxidation. I will post pics when done!

    What to polish with?

I wonder if those documents are on the web anywhere? I'd like to look over them and see exactly what they recommend. I don't think my renegade was ever waxed after it was new, lots of oxidation, I can't believe the difference! Hopefully it will be easier to maintain after all this. I keep it...

    What to polish with?

Starting polishing today, actually using compound. The pass side had some grey spots that would not wipe off at all, like they were soaked in. After some buffing with some compound they came off, but it was a lot of work. In the pic you can see the bottom looks shiny, still have to go over some...

    What to polish with?

75 chrome shop is a cool place! We went there in 2007 for a truck pull for trucks gone wild. Good people there at the chrome shop. I will check out their website. Thanks!

    What to polish with?

Looking to polish my renegade siding. What is recommended and works? I'm tired of everytime someone touches it with dirty hands it leaves a print. A friend had his professionally detailed and he told me they used a sealer because his finish was so far gone? I'm hoping to use a buffer and get my...

    Tag hitch to gooseneck insert

Here is a pic, it was snowing the day we left. This was about 17,000 lbs counting truck, trailer, and atv. 1600 mile round trip with no issues. Fuel mileage was rough, only averaged 6.40 round trip. We did have really bad headwinds both directions, but I thought that was pretty bad. Averaged...

    Tag hitch to gooseneck insert

I will have to look for the data tag, I have noticed some dealers rate the same hitch 40,000 and some are 30,000. I only pull around 18-20k so I should be ok. The safety chains are hooked to the hitch, it would take some really long chains to hook on the main hitch. I think they will be ok. My...

    Replacement front tires

Not sure what they charged it was all included with the total price? This particular tire shop used the equal, that was the only way they had to balance the tires.

    Replacement front tires

I will check out the shocks when I do the rear. The front is nice and smooth. The rear is air ride, and if those shocks are bad wouldn't it be really bouncy? I do need to adjust my trailer slightly, I think I had a little too much tongue weight. My air ride gauge went from 63 psi to about 81 in...

Anyone take a CDL test with a gooseneck toter?

I kept my cdl current for the above reasons. I have doubles, triples, tanker, and motorcycle endorsement. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. That being said I just hauled my big mud truck 1600 miles round trip North Carolina to Florida with no issues. One officer...

    Replacement front tires

Well after talking with my friend who has sold commercial tires for the last 12 years, I decided to try Yokohama tires on the front. He sells both Michelin and Yokohama and for my purpose he recommended the Yokohama. He told me they would ride as good, and if not he would swap them out for...
