    2003 Wildside 28' on a 89 Peterbuilt on ebay.

It would only be to enable the pulling of the biggest trailer possible, which would possibly tax a single axle(though probably not). The ride WILL be rougher due to the fact that the capacity over these axles would be double that over the single axle, even if air suspension is used. Other than...

    The "Duel" truck on Ebay.

That was a good movie, even though Dennis Weaver's character was unbelievably wimpy. It was fun watching and hearing that old Pete straining to go up the hills(big power had still to make its debut) while Weaver's car was fixin' to blow a head gasket.

Truck accident. Granite block slides forward into cab.

Don't tell Chevy about this one. I think a certain tune needs added lyrics (apologies to Bob Seeger): Like a rock, it'll overload my truck, Like a rock, I've just run clean outta luck, Like a rock, it damn near took off my head Like a rock, like a rock! Or as Mr, Dylan might have said...

Ignorance can be rectified thru education. But you ARE right; there ain't no fixin' STUPID! (Wonder what would've happened if his HEAD had gotten wedged somewhe-oops we know that already)

1955 ScenicCruiser Bus with a 2000 Conversion. Interesting.

Nice conversion, but on a fifty-year-old chassis? And a Detroit 2-stroke that, while dependable, drips oil at a prodigious rate, nearly matching a fuel consumption rate which is already more than ANY current diesel? I think not.

2005 Showhauler on a 2000 Freightliner on ebay.

I like the idea of sawing off the sleeper just back of the cab, as it blends real well into the coach. I guess the trick is to manke sure the coach height matches the height of the sleeper where they meet. I'm getting to like the Century series more all the time.....

Conventional or Cabover. Which looks best?

Don't feel put on the spot. You didn't cause anything new. Whenever ANYBODY brings up a good subject, you WILL get everyone else's opinion on it, but to me that's the absolute beauty of a forum like this. Don't you agree? Enjoy! I always do.......

Uhhh, it wasn't THAT either. I just assumed you knew I meant that I got online to check this board out. Note to self- NEVER "assume". Was taught a loooong time ago to break up the word, 'cause it WILL make an "A--" outta "U" and "ME"

Hiker who got stuck and cut off his arm is still climbing alone...

Judging by the above, one might deduce that rank stupidity can materialize in a multitude of forms. This idiot's mountain climbing achievements are in no way augmented by the fact that they were achieved alone. Maybe he learned from this, but I doubt it.

Why is this trucks wheel base so long?

Those trucks work for as long as it takes to run from their shop to whichever show it is entered at the time. You actually think they would allow a rig like that to even RISK getting dirty? Nooooo flippin' way, pal!

Conventional or Cabover. Which looks best?

I agree. Like I said, the only real reason for the cabover, for me at least, is the visual angle. But for all the reasons you state(the so-called "logistical" ones I referred to) the conventional is clearly the winner. The cabover just has too much going against it. Gary

Conventional or Cabover. Which looks best?

I have to agree on the cabover having definite appeal, though I will more than likely end up using a conventional more for logistical reasons than anything else. But the look of a not-too-long (18-20') coach behind a setback-axle cabover with a sleeper definitely has visual appeal.....
