Busted a leaf spring while traveling. Found out the front axle has 10,014 lbs on it and it’s a 9k axle so I decided to upgrade front axle. Don’t know the axle rating only that it has more springs and heavier duty axle I got springs from. After a week of putting new hardware in and different...

Need to call the one on the bottom Droopy, he doesn't look to happy. Glad you got the insulation all in and ready to stay warm. I've been on the road since the 1st traveling across the US dodging snow storms, wind squalls and surviving drives down county roads that are actually dirt/rock...

Time to trade in for a 6x4 or 4x4 is my suggestion.

I personally would stay away from those Dickinson marine heaters/stoves they will smell the place up. I have installed and taken out quite a few on commercial vessels and they are a mess, not to mention having to run a chimney instead of exhaust pipe for it to work right, which the height it...

If you look it has picture of the Webasto tank it came with he is hooked up to, though you can run the supply line to those 40 to 50 gallons until it's empty, just not drive down the road like that. My Chinese one came with digital thermostat, I'm sure the Webasto ones do too.

Lot of variables to say on what one would pay i.e. miles on the drive train and what would be the purpose for it after rebuilt. I have the tools and ability to take on project like this if it's worth it for my purpose or for extra dollar.

Typical leaking on RV's unless they are fiberglass two piece units, hence reason to never buy one. Great work on repairing it, without a shop it's next to impossible to repair them or restore them. So what was that a beverage truck, frame looks like mine.

So what was the reason for notching it making it overhang the cab? Thought about doing this with a shipping container and my reason would be due to length of the rig I have. How many inches of spray insulation did you go with? Also I suggest a hybrid insulation so as to break thermal bridging.

    Body attachement Bolts

You need stainless hardware for replacing and they eventually will leak. There is electrolysis going on from mixing steel bolt/screws with aluminum. In some areas I suggest stainless rivets or aluminum rivets, doesn't look like one type fastener to fix all.

Yep it's back on the semi resting on the back. Can't wait to hit the road again, been in this state one too many months racking up receipts enough to make a book so I can get my taxes back at end of the month. Haven't seen the sunlight in so long I forget what it looks like.

I opted for 5kw which knowing what I know now was mistake, too much heat. Just at 4000 btu's in here it better be in 30's or lower before turning on the propane heater I have now which is less than 2kw of heat and have yet to fully insulate this place. Take the btu's of heater you have now if it...

I got a Chinese one, looks pretty solid, haven't hooked it up yet though if I do before you order one I will let you know how it runs. I understand financial problems of things slowing down, last month was hard for me. I drove back to Great Falls MT from Washington and finished up my CDL now I...

Nope cause camper jacks stick off to the side of the truck bed on regular setups. This truck bed is wider than the camper, though I could build some to extend outwards, problem is portability. So as in post #4 is how it has to come off, I have built taller saw horses this time around so we will...

Nope cause I have to rip everything out again due to needing to get my CDL driving part done so I stopped as I’m using my truck for the CDL. Which means camper has to come off too somehow over the two tanks of diesel in the back. Then I have to drive from Olympic Peninsula to Montana to take it...

Thanks, when done the 2 panel racks of 12 panels will go over the two fuel tanks you see in the back. When fully fueled I can access my home from anywhere in the country without stopping. Now where can I put 6 more  Also need to get 4 to 8 more batteries...

Going good, I’ve decided to jump to 24 volts on my solar system a bit early. Found a deal on 6kw single/split phase inverter/charger on eBay that runs for $1600 before tax, I got it for $850. Will explain more on my build with pictures. Anywho, I had some radiant barrier like you are playing...
