R u sure u have a 3 stage brake? I know on mine and others I have seen most r only 2 stage. Middle position on the switch is off, down is low and up is high. Yes, as stated the cruise needs to be in the off position or the exhaust brake will not work.

Don, In the past we have run I-85 to route 53 N. When u exit there is a Pilot on the right. Entry into R.A. is easy from both. Since you prefer left turns 85 to 53 would also work out best for you and it is a little quicker than 211 since you cover ground on 85 to 53 and your not going N. to...

Time spent always changes when I plan for 2 days it never fails to turn into 4, always doubles somehow but, I don't complain we r together having fun and that's what its all about. Sounds like a great run, hope the weather cooperates and you have a fun and safe journey.

Taking a run out to CA. from IN. next week. Running out I-80, IN,IL,IA,NE,WY,UT,NV,CA. Giving myself 3 days out, 3 days in. Any places you would recommend I stop to site see between here and there that are not far off I-80 and wont take up a lot of time. I have a total of 10 days this trip.

I would think unless your tractor (tow vehicle) is plated RV you would need a CDL. Your trailer is an RV and plated as such however, your tow vehicle is a commercial vehicle unless plated as an RV. Check the back of your license for weight limits for a particular class license. Another thing...
