    Welding on frame

btw here is a pic of how the van bodies are usualy mounted: the end of the box is welded to the frame (welding on the end of the frame is "kind of" ok) the rest sits on oak 2x4 strips and is U-bolted to the frame. hope that helps

    Any comments on this Topkick?

hmmm...$69k for the truck and trailer sounds not too bad to me if you live/drive in mostly flat area that engine should be fine... but IMHO way too small for the killer hills here in the west. the rig looks to be in very good shape i like that paint (the penske yellow "flaming" into the...

    Any comments on this Topkick?

PDoane welcome yes, Warpath is right: i`m one of the guys that will steer you towards a class 8 if you look at the Topkick you have a big truck frame/axle/engine... with a little Pick Up cab on it. IMHO the cab of a truck has more room, is easy to enter, better all around view, many have...

    M2 or Columbia?

pjcnlv 1+2 here in AZ we have another reason to stay low (under 12'); in most places the RV diesel is cheaper then the Truck diesel (tax) but the RV pumps are sometimes under lower roofs we need also to fill up our onbord fuel station for the dunebuggies most gas stations are build at...

Bravestdog our truck is a "dogs kennel" on wheels (at least thats what our dog "Leon" thinks ) he loves to be in the truck (if we have a T-storm the only place where he feels safe is in the truck ) during travel Leon`s place is sleeping right behind the driver seat with his back at the...

    New to neighborhood

hey Randy yes, 81" is not much (for a 6'3" guy like me) but there will be no roof AC (we plan to use a low mounted "mini split" style unit) and no over the cab bunk (i think they look plain ugly; we will reuse the stock unibilt sleeper front/roof part) the Pete is more of a SURV (sport utility...
