VMS 240 CL Diesel Engine Monitoring System

That is where I had my XM unit. I never used it, always monitor the CB. I need to try to get that off very carefully with out ruining the dash in anyway.

VMS 240 CL Diesel Engine Monitoring System

Should have clarified that, interior trim. I added a bunch more of the wood grain pieces that Freightliner left out. Really looks nice. The unit on top of the dash is my Garmin StreetPilot 7200. Nice big screen. The VMS unit is next to the AC vent in the middle, perfect place for it.

VMS 240 CL Diesel Engine Monitoring System

Hey Alan, you mentioned the unit was $400, did that include the GEM software? Got to play around a little with the VMS last weekend and it is awesome to have all of that data available if you desire to monitor a certain aspect of the motor. Primarily I monitored HP, Torque, trans temp...

2001 Kingsley, Kenworth chassis, 55' OD, 600hp, 41k miles, $750k invested, on ebay.

That overhang makes the wheelbase managable, and with the rise in the back probably not a issue. Although you loose storage space. I can not understand why anyone would want SS lower panels when the whole thing is not SS. The trim around the back wheels is black, and the tank covers on the...

Sliding floor closure over stairwell. Comments?

It is in most all front entry pusher. Show Hauler gives you a cover you can put over the "pit" but I have never used it and don't keep it with me. If it was a slider like that I may use it, but not a big issue with our floorplan.

WOW! I guess if you can live with out the preflight checklist you can save yourself about $1200.

VMS 240 CL Diesel Engine Monitoring System

I thought I would detail the capabilities of the the VMS unit. Detail Info Here I just installed the unit in my M2. Unfortunately with a Magellan 7200 GPS on top of the dash, back up monitor on the dash and CB below the dash there was really no where to put it other than where the radio...

    mileage/h.p.

Not sure that I need it. My rig is super stable, in it's current configuration. The ride is real good, yeah the sharp bumps will jar things a bit, but not that bad. Not sure that I am at the point of messing with the chassis at this point. We handle Air-Ride products which is very...

Could be hard to get an accurate answer since most of the lower HP motors like a 300 would probably be hooked up to a automatic trannie versus a manual or manual automatic that the bigger motors have. It would be hard to compare apples to apples. I will say that my Cummins M11 350 hp & 1200...

    Mercedes MBE 926 Motor

No butt kicking here, I totally agree a 450 hp motor would be ideal. My issues with the first conversion was it had to long of a wheelbase and no over the cab bunk room. So my best option to solve this was to use the M2-106 chassis. Unfortunately it is horsepower is limited. And for me at...

    Mercedes MBE 926 Motor

O.K. Here is the update. Motor received new injectors and program update to get it to the 300 hp & 860 ft/tq, my rig weights (approx)30,560 lbs. towing a jeep wrangler weighting 3,300 lbs. Total = 33,860 Got a chance to run the rig on a rolling stretch of turnpike for about an hour and here...

    Truck ride

I can only compare the ride with & without the Broc's when I was bobtailing the truck. In this configuration it did have a positive effect, but not dramatic. Once the motorhome box was put on the ride was awesome, except for big potholes and big bridge expansion joints. But what would handle...

#1. The air seat could have had the glider on and that will give ya a jerky feel if your not use to it. Also the Bostrom Talladega seats along with lower end air seats have pretty poor shock dampening. Change to a higher end seat or replaced the shock and you will be amazed at how well it...

    Mercedes MBE 926 Motor

I mentioned this in another thread, but figured I post the full story here. From the day I drove my rig off the lot I have been disappointed in the power of my Mercedes motor. I had alot of travel plans scheduled last year and with the delay in getting my rig which was do to a blown head...

    Dockig Lights

Sorry I did not see this earlier. I would actually look for the bigger lights found on the front of bigger pleasure boats. Those small ones don't throw off much light.
