    Deer Guard

porky, I have not spoken to my insurance company yet about any cost savings to me but just the thought of hitting a deer and the damage it would do makes me move in the direction of a grill guard. Beyond the cost of repair is the down time that I wouold not want to be without my rig for major...

    Deer Guard

hot rod, Are you saying this would be controlled by your home state rather than states one would travel thru? Have been starting to see a huge amount of semi drivers adding the guards to their trucks and many companies are adding the guards to their fleets. Ed

HotRod, There are a few of us dog people running around the country in the white rigs. I am taking some time off with the rig right now until March unless this winter is mild like last year. I will use the big white van and say at motels. Just do not like the idea of driving the rig in snow...

    Showhauler 28qssl question

I think I would have to agree with Bob on his statements. I am seeing some of the new truck conversions built on the Freightliner are coming with the six speed allison. For what I use my rig for I think the 12 speed Auto is a bit of over kill. Matter of fact yesterday as I took off from a...

    Always Learning

Didn't notice any salt on the road around Cleveland but the rig got plenty dirty on the trip down with rain all the way. Roads must real dirty in IL, or IN, or OH. Took the rig to a truck wash, three guys worked on it, did a real nice job for $45.00. Makes me think about not washing it myself...
