    2001 Showhauler 29' on FL112

Bump with a mileage update to 61k and a price drop to $112k. Also added a self aiming satellite dish... Pretty cool but not the in-motion variety althorugh it is in a dome and is upgradeable.

Searching for the biggest manufacturers of Truck Conversions please?

LOL - just spent the night at my sisters out on 28 Sunday night. Downside is that's the last time that I have a race up that way this season, however visiting family this winter is always a possibility.

    Need a 2" receiver

Sweet! I'm running into the same problem, It would be nice to use a 2" ball for some trailers and flat towing either the Jeep or the F350. How much is it and will they make another and sell it to me?

    System losing pressure...

Very cool, thanks for the ideas. I'll check the fittings tonight and work my way up to the valve when I have access to some blocks. Always wondered what the inside of a hydraulic valve looked like anyway

    System losing pressure...

Okay, still happening and it's just the one cylinder for sure - anyone have a suggestion what to check this weekend? Not going to be anywhere in the near future to be able to get a shop to check it so I guess it's time for a crash course in basic hydraulic systems

3200 mile Run Down to San Antonio & Back

I set my Jeep up so I strap it down with the front tow hooks and an aftermarket rear bumper that has shackles on it. Had rear tow hooks in the beginning which worked pretty well too. Any run across I-40 or I-10 is going to require double checking the straps for stretching every stop - it's even...

    System losing pressure...

will do on the call - definitely not sinking and I've been using it about 3 weekends out of every month for a year an a half or more so the air should be gone That and it just started, I'll check the simple stuff this weekend when I'm unloaded att he track and give you guys a call if I can't...

    System losing pressure...

Or something like that. The last few times I've put down the rams the left side seems to sink over the ocurse of a few hours. Any ideas? Now keep in mind I haven't even bothered to check anything yet including checking the fluid level in the reservoir....

    Renegade

I'd say 430hp would be a good minimum. As for Renegade, I'd go with either them or Showhauler. I prefer Showhauler because they are more flexible wiht design ideas and are more able to make exactly what you want. Both companies will do warranty work at the factory.

    XM Satellite Radio

The trucker antenna I believe only come in a dual wire config. The others you can get either one. You can also get the Delphi holders with either config.

    Warranty problems and company policies

The last warranty issue I had Lonnie got taken care of with a local shop less than 15 minutes from me. I did take it back to SH once but had the time free to do so. I actually feel bad about the local shop since they charge SH a 90/hour shop rate for labor and once I saw the fix I could have...

    total length when towing

If I had to guess I'd say you're more likely to be in trouble in a toterhome/gooseneck rig than in an RV/tag trailer combo just because the DOT are going to look more at a rig that is an obvious race rig or potential commerical rig. I know 2 racers that have had issues and one vendor, the...

    Need advice

Mine most weekdays is up north of Atlanta in Canton right off of 575. I'd be glad to show it off even though during race season it's not at it prettiest. It's even for sale if you really like it My trailer also might be of interest since I tend to load it about like you're talking - that...

    Need a 2" receiver

Good question. I saw a couple of people at Dyatona with bike hauler on SHowhaulers and Renegades but never did get a chance to go look and see if they were mounted to a 2" receiver or a custome mount to the current hitch. They did have the same basic hitch we do.

Wood framed living quarters vs metal. What's the difference?

It's pretty much got to be on your end even if it is just this forum otherwise we'd all be having the same problem. I get the same kind of hting with my BBS and it's alwaya browser issue. Also, you may not have changed it however your virus software or even your operating system may have.

New to the Forum looking to learn like a sponge

I tow a 24 foot tag trailer every weekend with no issues. I've also towed a 34' stacker with my rv with no issues. I wouldn't go with a toter and a gooseneck unless you really need a trailer over 36' or so. The tags up to that size wirk great and tow well. Also the toterhomes are about the...

New to the Forum looking to learn like a sponge

Having your trailer lettered won't force you into a CDL. Using the rig for interstate commerce will. Hobbiest racers are fine, if you're racing professionally (i.e. it's your only or main job and source of income) then you will need a cdl although even then getting pulled over is unlikely. I...

The pix are at http://www.wera.com/grpahics/showhauler all of it that starts with trail (there are only 3 right now I'll upload more if I can find them). Trust me on the trailer, you can put everything in it an it will not push the truck around. This ain't your granpda's oldsmomotorhome If...

New to Site: Motorhome with garage in furture any suggestions

Just a thought - why not a full motorhome with a slightly larger trailer for the books/van/equipment? Either way the specs you've laid out should work great for you although the twin screw would be nice it's not necessary. My FL112 has a 22,700 rated rear axle and I'm nowhere close to it with...
