They're just a dealer and one I've heard might be sketchy.

    Haulmark

What Wick said - I'd stay away from them for now, that's part of why we went ahead and got this one now.

    Haulmark

I've got one and love it. The storage underneath isn't the best, but all of the conversions are limited compared to a normal class A. I also got the outside fridge and TV which limits it even more. There's on compartment on the drivers side in the rear where the power cable is. Then on the...

Is this price accurate? 2001, 43' NRC conversion listed at $170k cost 490k new?

Well, I just bought a 2007 Haulmark, Columbia chassis, twin screw for $220k. So, add in the few extras this one has that I do not (although I have a rear slide and the washer dryer prep just not the appliance) and guess what, still under $250k.

He's also not measuring it the same as most companies measure theirs, it's the same length as my Haulmark if it's 43" overall length but I'm still on a 32' floorplan and call it a 32' Haulmark.

I get $510k and no it's not real. Same setup today in a Haulmark on a Coronado chassis no more than $250k.

Haulmark is getting them from someone else, can't remember the name tho off the top of my head. I'll try to check if I go over there tomorrow and post. If not - remind me next week.

    Wamted truck conversion

If I had the time I'd definitely get my own truck and spec out the box portion through Showhauler or another customizer. Especially if I were planning on living in it and if I had some experience already in an rv so I know what parts I like and what I don't.

I have absolutely no idea. I'm out of town but not in the RV, I'll check when I get back.

Sure, any time I'm in town (okay, granted that's not all that often...).

I've had stainless on the back of the trailer for years and it's not that hard to deal with, just polich it when the trailer gets waxed.

Thanks! I'm thinking it needs a little more bling on the nose, a bug guard for sure, possibly a visor extension and maybe some trim along the line on the hood.

Sorry! Okay lessee here, got it from one of our racers who works at lbtrailers.com (Lance Pentecost, good kid) actually sold me the Showhauler when he worked at a different dealership. It's an 07 on the Columbia chassis, 450 hp Mercedes, twin screw, 32'. This one is a little more pimped than...

    Air ride on cab

My 2001 Showhauler has a chunk of wood - no air, no shocks.

    Height and length

Personally I'd pick overbuilt with room for expansion. I'd do a 14' door and 50' long.

Do slideouts have a manual overide in case they get stuck in an out position?

One hole on mine and I've never tried it. I figure what I don't know won't hurt me until I absolutely have to find out

Do slideouts have a manual overide in case they get stuck in an out position?

Yep, at least you can on my Showhauler, there's a long crank handle in a compartment and a small hole on the opposite side of the slide it fits in like a screw jack.

Why aren't builders putting slat walls, e-track type tie downs in garage units?

Mine would too but honestly I'd rather do it myself for what I'm loading rather than have someone else guess at a generic setup.

LOL - you talking about the Escapees one or another? And what the heck did you say anyway?

Sliding floor closure over stairwell. Comments?

My stairwell is between the fridge and the pantry so the cover stays stashed under the couch. Can't really ever see using it given the layout I have.

    mileage/h.p.

My experience has been that higher HP pulling a load tends to use less fuel. My theory is it doesn't work as hard accelerating to hwy speeds. They do use more running around town but that's mostly my right foot. Same flat road - I'd guess they should use the same if the weight of the motor...

    Painting

If they can do it so it's got a good gloss then full graphics are a possibility for sure. I'll have to keep looking into it. Of course right now I have a racer of ours trying to sell me a 2006 Haulmark 33' on a Coronado chassis

Carbon Fiber use in building truck conversion questions.

CF would work from a vibration aspect - think fighter planes and stealth bombers, they're mostly composites like CF. The obvious main reason it won't get used is it would more than double the cost of a conversion. To make structural CF pieces they have to be formed under high pressure and...
