    Replacing Carpet

Actually we've found the waivers to work pretty well. That and no one else comes in the RV at the races so no worries, if the dog and wife can survive on hardwood at home they shoul dbe okay in here - thanks for the thoughts tho!

    Replacing Carpet

Cool -so it was easy enough to just yank the carpet and put in the tile? I might have to do some destruction this week while we're at the track, I'm to the point with having a dog and dirty paddock areas that I'd rather paint the subfloor

    Replacing Carpet

So - anyone ever ripped out the carpet under a slide and replaced it with hardwood? My only concern is getting things under the slide edge. I'll probably remove the dinette entirely and reinstall over the new flooring (that way it's the same as stock). Anyway, not sure if this shoul dgo...

    Roof Coating

My Showhauler has an aluminum roof sealed with caulk at the edges and where stuff is mounted. My Renegade trailer uses the FRP they use on the walls. I'd say for building your own just use aluminum if you can get a sheet the size of the entire roof then cut what few holes you need.

Oh yeah - that's a single rear axle.

    New to neighborhood

Well mine is rated at 12k Front, 22.7k Rear. Right now I'm running ~30,000 loaded full of fuel, water, and propane with me the wife and 2 dogs in it at the time. As much of a thing pig as I am I'm not sure I can come up with another 4500 pounds of junk to put in it. The 30k is an estimate...

    Burning Kingsley

LOL - Let me see if I can distill this down to the basics - you had a coach, it burned, you had so few issues wiht the manufacturer you wanted to work for them, you didn't get to be CEO so you posted the pix? And that is after removing everything in his post that you noted had "factual...

Coach In the Making Two - Levelers - Take 2

No worries on the big pads, as I said before I'll have osme made by a fabricator friend that owes me a few favors Amen on the jackstands and will do on the running them out in pairs! As a matter of fact my rig is currently sitting stuck in the mud at our office where it will stay until it...

Coach In the Making Two - Levelers - Take 2

Yep, the levelers are pretty amazing. I figure if I ever get a flat I'm going to make some roadside repair guy very happy when he pulls up and it lifts itself

Coach In the Making Two - Levelers - Take 2

LOL - done it twice this off season in my yard. Once it rained enough over 2 months the truck just plain sank. The other I backed up too far in the side yard turning around that I got the rears into the mole created soft ground sank. Both time I sank a good 4 inches - both times I yanked it...

Looking to get into low-end motorhome/toterhome

Only issue is that the 108k is the drop dead price, no OBO according to the boss lady. And it got two brand new tires yesterday as well as an oil change and the guys are set up to wax it next week

The Rv Truck Coach Coming Of Age!

One other point - to copy and paste the exact same response in every thread is annoying as hell. Did you spend that long thinking it up that you have to keep repeating it to get your moneys worth? Man I hate stupid people, you just annoy the crap out of me some days.

I'm in the market for a used truck conversion but need advice

Now that that's over I'll try to answer your question - I don't think there is a single website that will compare the manufacturers any better than this one will. Just read this board, look through all of the older posts and you'll get a feel for the experiences of the people who have gotten...

Shamelss plug time - I've got a 29' Showhauler for sale. Nice but not pimped out, pulls a 24' Renegade tag all day long with no complaints, pulls hill great, never been slower than 55mph - even did that up the hill coming out of LA towards Vegas twice last year. Mines got everyhting listed...

Nope, still have it and it's still for sale - just not pushing real hard because we like it and don't absolutely need a new one

    Replacement Pad

Went through the site and in case anyone cares - they're $24 plus shipping. They also have some much larger ones available for $250 which is a bit too much for me when I can have additions to the stock ones made for a lot less at a a machine shop....

    Replacement Pad

So somehow or another I seem to have lost a pad Considering the ground we're usually on I guess I'm not too surprised, anyway how can I get a replacement? FWIW I was ecstatic to see they are bolt on and not welded (and the bolt is still there on mine, just no pad, had to have been a combo...

What do you think of this coach..?

Mine isn't at Becks - I have one in my parking lot that I am personally selling that we used the last two seasons doing motorcycle races. If you go to the link the details are all listed there.

What do you think of this coach..?

I've got one for sale that is basically the same rig but cheaper - asking $110k currently but it is the off season so I may be able to get the boss to drop another 5 or so. Slightly different layout, satellite dish, more fresh water and some other items but the ad spells it out pretty well...
