Bump just cuz - it's still for sale and has been recently gone thorugh by Showhauler to fix some minor issues. Still a great truck and I'd like to sell it soon to get working on the next one before the race season starts...

Dano - exactly. Very, very easy to drive. The only concern is you can't forget to put the clutch in when stopping.
When driving through town a lot of the time you can slow down enough to creep along for lights and never use the clutch.

I'll discount mine to 115k If you want to buy it Should be all nice and pretty and every detail perfect when I pick it back up from Showhauler later this week.

They are called super singles and are very similar to what you see on the fornt of dump trucks. They're supposed to be great for making everything ride better. The rims are expensive though. The Michelin Semi that comes to our races uses them and the guys noticed a big difference in the way...
Dan - because it's an RV it's still exempt - business owned, commercially used etc... It's an RV no matter what you do with it. Now your trailer may put you into the weigh stations, I think if you're using an RV in commercial application you still have to do the logbook etc... But that's a...
Hmmm, I'll have to weigh mine sometime. I've got a 30' SH, a 24' Renegade trailer and fully loaded, watered, fueled, and the Jeep in the trailer I'm only at 33,500. 30k for the rv alone seems very high.

Contact one of the manufacturers directly. I'm not sure who makes the actual hitch, the ball is just a basic gooseneck ball. I'm pretty sure the hitch is one built for moving mobile homes and the like.

I love my Bigfoots. I've been in situations at tracks where the front end has been totally off the ground for 3-4 days striaght with no problems at all. I also put them down to stabilize the rig and cut down on movement from people walking about.

Angie is a dealer in Hickory, NC. She used to be a sub dealer for the guys I go through Howard Trailer Sales - www.racerigs.com)and then went on her own. Everyone I've dealt with on stuff like this has been very cool, it's definitely different than the car sales type feeling I've gotten on a...
Renegade does use steel trusses in their trailers for roof support. Nothing on the walls though except by the door.

I've got a Showhauler truck and a Renegade trailer. They both have some positives and negatives, aluminum is easier to dent/scrape etc.. but it's also much easier to replace. In my case if I want to sell my trailer I can't just resking the side where I put in windows. But the FRP does look...
Well, I guess I may as well make it official now that I have some pix (please forgive the messy interior shots, we were mid load up to leave tomorrow am for a race this weekend).
The truck stays most weekdays in Canton, GA but we're on the road for the next 6 weeks so I may be near you if...
Sorry but I'm not going to be of much help. We have ours insured through the same ocmpany we use for all of our racing liability/medical/equipment. I'm not sure if they are into doing RV insurance or not but I'll call our agent and see Thursday when I get back in the office.

First off - I'm entirely too jealous of your TJ
I didn't put the windows in this one but I did so in our last trailer, the Renegade is actually easier because all you need to worry abotu is sealing the plywood form moisture (you can get the sealer from Renegade). Other than that all you...
Geof - No interior shots handy sorry, worst case I'll have some in a week or so. I go pick it back up on the 20th but head to a race in Virginia the 22nd...
Patrick - The interior height of the trailer is about 9'6" if I remember correctly. I put in some e-track 6'6" off the floor and ran...
I don't race personally, not enough time these days because I'm always at the track... WERA is a sanctioning body for roadraces. We put them on all over the place including Mid-Ohio this year during the week between the AHRMA races and the AMA Pro stuff. We have a few different series we put...
That's pretty cool really. I'd definitely prefer the steering coumn mounted controls overthe big box on the dash or seat. Easier to use in manual mode too. Might have to look into that further on the next truck.

I'll definitely be in touch if I head up that way, no current plans since all of the races I'll be at for the rest of the season are down south. You can get in touch with me at 770-720-5010 if you head down this way. I'll get some pix up on my site as soon as I get a chance.

You providing the chassis to build it on or do you want to buy one they've built on a new chassis?
Either way check out http://www.racerigs.com, you can call and talk to Lance about the options (sorry Patrick got a dealer of my own that I like ) - which are what makes it hard to do a website...
