    Well driveshaft is gonna work fine i just have send it out to be welded (i dont have enough hydro power to run enough welding heat). New brake combo valve is in, brake tubing is all run and now just replacing brake chambers which is kicking the cr@p out of me....dont know who put them on last...

    So looking for some opinions....should i out vapor barrier down on the aluminum floor of the reefer box then foam/ sub floor or foam directly in floor?

    Well finally got a break in the weather and i'm home at the same time....lol. Air lines going getting put in, new leveling valve, etc..... Old rear driveshaft off and moved to original position so i can tackle the mid shaft next... Then ill run the new wirring harness as i hate tracking bad...

    Got a few minutes of time off and a break in the weather to get some truck mechanical work done....been putting off the box part as i need to figure a way to get the thing on the back of the truck as i got a quote from a crane service and it just about made me sick.

    Well we got ourselves a box...22 foot reefer. Now the trick is going to be getting on the truck asap as the "one that rules" has put her foot down and doesnt want the box clogging up the driveway this winter.

    Well lots of stuff ordered.....airlines, rear new rear brake valve, thermostat etc but sadly not much done other than bolt in the rear support frame and treat the frame rails so i can paint them. Still trying to decide on a weither to build the box, buy a dry van box or a sea...

    So got the rear support fabricated.....this offers both support for the rear rails, a place to fasten a trailer hitch and eventually a storage drawer will be fabbed that slides out the back. Still need to drill all the mounting holes, paint etc.....getting there, slow going when you work on the...

    Well got the last of the bolt holes drilled for the torq arm mounts, what pain to do by hand instead of the mag drill. Then mounted it up.....next will be cleaning up the frame and a trailer hitch plate.

    Maintaining/Purchasing a Used Truck

    Personally i would stay away from anything that had an early Ford Triton V10 as it was known for blowing sparkplugs out of the heads and was major $$ to fix. Any of the V8 or inline 6 motors will probably be ok just have a compression test and a cylinder leak down test done [if possible] so you...
