This is the latest version of a PDI checklist I put together more than 18 years ago when we bought our first travel Trailer. I was used to our tent trailer, where I could touch and see almost everything in the rig without moving and we went to a 33' hard side. It was so big and there was so much stuff to do compared to the tent trailer, it was more than a little daunting. I wanted a way to remember all the things that were important in learning about the quality of the new trailer and how to operate the systems. The checklist was the solution.
Flash forward to 2016 and our new TT has three slides, no bunks, a 42" TV, an electric fireplace and electric stabilizing jacks. More systems to be aware of and try to understand the proper operation of...some days, I miss our old pop up!
However you use the list, take you time, ask questions, take notes and get comfortable with your new rig. Pictures or short clips taken with your phone can help later, but make sure you understand now. As soon as you drive off the lot, you are on your own!
Good Luck!
