USB outlet swap closeup

I am asking a lot of questions so I am sorry but I am excited about my new trailer and noticed immediately that I need things. This plug w/usb would be nice as I have a couple of small fans for the bunks that run off of usb. Do not believe I will be able to install a whole new one on the top bunk but maybe the bottom bunk existing swap out. Do you just swap out the regular plate with the new plug usb plate using the same wiring? Meaning no modification of the existing wiring just wire it back in and put the plate up or?

Correct. It is a simple swap from the old outlet to the new USB outlet from Lowes. They are wired in series so you have to get two wires under each screw of the outlet connections but it is doable.

How are you handling getting into the top bunk, a step stool? I am trying to cone up with a solution that is more permanent. I thought I saw you or someone else had a rubber shoe toe step to help hike up, was that you? If so what is it and exactly where did you get it?

Nothing yet, planning to use a large stair rail mount screwed to the bun frame as a foot hold. Pics this spring!
