I found the perfect trash can at Lowe's. It is very narrow and not in the way when walking into the bedroom.
I purchased 2 single plastic storage drawer units to use on both sides of the bed.
In the bedroom we hung a tv and a shelf above the tv to hold a dvd player. Also, mounted a mirror next to the window and hung the broom and dustpan us
Added coat hooks to the left of the door.

Installed a Closetmaid cabinet to store our shoes. If you look to the left of the cabinet you will see a dimmer switch, which is connected to the lamp
Used a piece of the blackout curtain to cover the skylight on extremely hot days.
Purchased a blackout curtain from Walmart, cut it up and made room darkener curtains for the windows.
