During the spring I noticed bubbling in a couple of areas underneath the rubber roof membrane. Contacted Forest River. They warranteed the repair as caulking had not been neglected but a couple of bubbles in the caulking had burst over the winter. Camping World had to inspect the caulking and confirm that the problem was a cause from faulty installation during manufacturing. Forest River replaced the roof under warranty. After doing some research on the web I found this product "Eternabond". Comes on a 4" x 50' roll and installs directly over the existing caulking. Found it best to clean the old caulking with simple green and again with Isopropyl Alcohol. You can also purchase their product called "Eternaclean" for just that purpose but I found it did not work as well as the Simple Green Isopropyl Alcohol. Use OneStep over factory roof seams one time and never do roof seam maintenance again! 25 year warranty! More than 25 high-end RV manufacturers now use EternaBond products in the manufacturing of their dream machines to ensure their customers will truly have a weather tight, leak-proof RV.
