Had a question...did you have to remove a "layer" of wood from under the bed. I have a slide out king bed and was wanting to do this but my storage area is not very deep. I looked under the bed and there seems to be another "box" under the layer in the storage area. I am wondering if you had to remove some wood in order to make the drawers deeper?
