The location the factory intended for a TV to go was pretty much useless. It was at the rear of the trailer on a shelf behind a bench seat. It meant two people would have to sit on the opposite side of the table. Only two could have watched TV at that! And you could not see the TV from bed.
We're TV in bed types so we had to come up with a spot so we could see TV from bed and the dinette.
What I came up with is an articulating arm at the end of the kitchen upper cabinet.
It took a lot of time and anguish on how to lock it in place for travelling and how to make it swivel so you could see it from both ends of the trailer. Although I discovered there are at least two manufacturers of decent locking articulating mounts (Moview and Mor/Ryde) I opted for using Velcro straps because that seems what a lot of RV manufacturers or dealers are doing now.
After buying a piece of junk locking mount sold by one of the well-known RV parts stores, i opted for a mount sold by www.videoseco.com. It has unequal length arms which makes my arrangement possible.
I was able to fish the co-ax cable from the rear of the TT where the amplifier is throught the ceiling to the rear of the microwave compartment. I replaced the single 15a microwave receptacle with a duplex. Not sure if the TV and microwave would run at the same time without problems, but it's easy to just avoid doing that. I could install a separate circuit but would rather avoid the work.
Oh, and the TV we got has a built-in DVD player so there's no worry about where to mount the DVD player.
