tzh99h, you are correct that the tongue is not level to the ground. The tongue frame on my trailer is not on the same plane as the trailer frame....it tilts up towards the coupler. That may have been done on purpose so the hitch is not so close to the ground for clearance purposes.....my Surveyor sits low to the ground.
