Flip it down and the door opens. It doesn't get any simpler. I was able to use one of the hatch frame screws on the hindge.

Outside Fridge Door Keeper

We found the contents of the outside refrigerator - pop, water, beer - kept opening the fridge door inside the hatch. This let all the cold out, and forced us to do a juggling act each time we went for a drink.
