There are two large custom built steel toolboxes bolted to each side of the frame rails. The fifth wheel hitch has a custom fit spacer as shown in the picture above. The spacer is welded in the center of the 5th wheel plate replacing the grease reservoir. I use a plastic plate on the trailer King pin instead of grease. Its much cleaner.

This hitch works perfectly for towing a travel trailer. You
can't buy a stronger safer hitch anywhere. A travel trailer king pin is the exact same size as those large commercial tractor trailers. One does NOT need an air ride hitch. The hitch never binds regardless of terrain. Hitching and unhitching is a snap.

I have added a seven gallon air tank to the frame. There is an air hose which attaches the air tank to the chassis air bags. This allows air to be compressed from the air bags into the tank on rough roads. This helps the truck ride like a Caddy. I have towed my travel trailer more than thirty five thousand miles with this, and another similarly equipped Volvo tractor. I have had absolutely no problems.

Features on this Volvo include *Air Conditioning, *Power Air Brakes, *Power Steering, * Tilt & Telescoping Leather Steering wheel, *Cruise Controll, *Driver Side Air Bag, *Full Guage Panel including Pyrometer and Boost Guage. There are two
clocks. This is in addition the the clock radio. Each clock has an alarm. One clock is in the dash and one is in the sleeper
There is plenty of interior lighting throughout the cab and
sleeper. There are also three trip meters.

This Volvo is also equipped with a Volvo road relay computer. This computer provides more than 100 kinds of useful information concerning the operation of the engine and the vehicle. This is provided via a digital computer readout installed in the dash. Examples are oil pressure, oil temperature, miles traveled per leg, fuel used, real time MPG, percentage of engine capacity being utilized, etc. etc.

This unit has three air tanks, and an air dryer. It has two aluminum fuel tanks which hold a total of 225 gallons.
The engine is equipped with a heated fuel water separator and a fuel filter. If you want to, you can drive more than
2,200 miles without refueling .
