Default Registering a 33k gvwr for Personal Use in Indiana?

I am looking into buying a International Crew for personal use. I would use it for work around my property along with using it to haul ATV's and such to offroad parks. The best deal I have found so far is a 2000 International 4700 crew cab with air brakes and a 33k GVWR. Is it at all possible to register this for Personal Use in Indiana and is it possible to register without a CDL? Most 4700 I have seen are rated at 26k, not sure why this one is rated so much higher. Any information is greatly appreciated!!

I wonder if you might be able to find some info over on the Escapees MDT forum? Sorry I don't have any knowledge of Indiana law. In Minnesota you would need a Class B license to drive it. A standard Class D license (in MN that is) only allows you to drive a vehicle up to 26k lbs. And only allows you to tow a 10k lbs. trailer. Unless said trailer is a recreational vehicle, then there is no weight limit. I would guess Indiana is going to be quite similar. What about the possibility of down rating the weight on that truck?

Not sure what Indiana laws say, but I see two potential areas you might have troubles:
1. GVWR being over 26K
2. Air brakes

You need to find the Indiana laws related to this and how it fits your case.
