I just read the forum about the Kingsley fire and had a thought. Did the vehicle have a surge protector from the factory or aftermarket. Is a surge protector standard eqpt by the big 4 manufactures? We had a surge to our home and everything that drew current VCR, clocks, nightlites all exploded and caught fire. Could the vehicle received a surge form the campground electrical and say set the tv or VCR on fire??

I doubt any of the conversion manufacturers put surge in their units let alone offer it. I know Show Hauler doesn't not sure if you can get as a option. Actually, I have not seen surge in most of the traditional motorhomes including pushers.

Anythings possible as far as that situation goes.

I know my rig wont be without one. I use a unit by progressive industries

Cheap protection for the big money in electronics on these rigs.
