HI yall, I am planning to start on a conversion of my very own, but its not like the other ones on this site. But i have not found anything close to what i was planning on doing. My plan is to take a 1980 chevy 1 ton dually pickup with a 454 7.4L, and basically cut the bed off, and connect it to the frame of my 5th wheel camper. The camper Is pretty much crap, so i was just going to use the frame. The frame is 28 feet, and i wanted to extend it so the whole vehicle is around 40 feet. My question is, is this a realistic, do-able project.

I got the idea from two places. Once i saw on ebay a few years ago, someone had done the same thing, but instead of using a pickup, he used a cadillac car. The other place i got the idea from was from u-haul trucks. I was just staring at one once, and said "it looks like someone cut in half a truck and stuck it under a 5th wheel", so of course i naturally put two and two together, and here i am.

Any thoughts so far? Will this abomonation on to the lord work?

Thanks in advance.
