I recently bought a '98 Volvo VNL610 and had one of the axles removed. Do you sell the axles after they are removed? Where, the Truck Trader? What is a reasonable asking price? I also removed the air wing and want to sell it.

Just wondering which housing you removed? Front one or the rear one, because if keep the front one then still have the use of the air diff. lock. Just curious which way most do it.

Big Daddy,

BEst bet is to get on the phone, and call local driveline shops, etc. You are not going to sell one anywhere if freight charges are
involved.

SBP,

Almost all the time, the front tandem is removed. Either way will work though. If you leave the front axle in place, you have to run with the front tandem in the locked position.

Thanks Larry,

We removed the front (center) axle. I think you recently did a conversion here in the Phoenix area. Any particular suggestions on who to contact on the axle I have or should I just hit the yellow pages and go from there?

Big Daddy,

I called a number of places in Phoenix before I found anyone interested. I don't recall the name of the company that finally bought it. They went to the frame shop while I was back in Yuma, waiting 10 days, to go pick the truck up. I had the axle buyer make the check out to the frame shop. The frame shop applied it to my bill.
