Default automatic trans in a old truck for hauler

I want to put a automatic trans in a 92 model freightliner fld conv that i am converting in to a hauler to pull my large horse trailer. the manual trans suits me ok but my wife doesn't like it even though she can handle it ok. the truck has a 12.7 detroit motor and a 9 speed now . what kind of auto trans do i have for options. of course i what full auto ,( no clutch ) just not sure how to go at this with the older truck. got ideas? thanks

I'd bet an Allison hydraulic auto would be the only one that would work. The auto shift type (clutch, not a torque converter) I'm pretty sure link to the engine electronics to work. And that '92 doesn't have much for electronics on it I bet.
