So how much is a decent paint job on a 28' rig (38' total) and does anyone know of a place in or near Atlanta to get said job done? I'm looking for a basic either single stage or base/clear single color.

Wow. If it's even close to $9 then no way - that would be 5k for just the trailer.... Wrapping it would be cheaper.

When I was talking to Lonnie at Showhauler about getting a unit I asked about paint jobs. He said they run between 4,000 and up depending on what you want done.

Well, on RVs - about the same size as your rig - a full body paint upgrade (if its an option on a cheaper one) runs around 10K.

....seen the graphics that are the size of a billboard?....like on a city bus.....maybe $2k and a stipend?.....the new finishes are very anti-VOC in nature and require heat to cataylize....VOC are now a disposal issue you just can't blow them out in the air anymore....got to ues pads to trap and dispose......I'd ask one of the local used truck dealerships if they have an "good old boy that can help you out"...I got one here in Cincy that does a tractor for $1200 inside and out frame and everything is coated with an automotive finish not a truck finish as it is cheaper for me to have it painted every 3 years than have an overall to O.E truck specs......geofkaye

OK just me the new guys asking possibly lame questions again. With 10k for a paint job, why aren't more HDT conversions clad in nice shiny aluminum like an Airstream trailer or something else that doesn't need paint?

....cuz it would look like a square sh*t can.....or an origional U-haul van from the 70's which are all aluminum whitew rusted and a dull filmey white.....you will see every dent and every hail damaged spot along with dirt!.....geofkaye

If they can do it so it's got a good gloss then full graphics are a possibility for sure. I'll have to keep looking into it. Of course right now I have a racer of ours trying to sell me a 2006 Haulmark 33' on a Coronado chassis

I realize this is an old thread but you can roll the trailer for no more than $30 and your time. Best to use a flat color versus high gloss, at least in my opinion. If you want that high gloss you need to spray it.
