Talking newbee from New-B(runswick) Canada (get it?)

I stumble upon this site by searching further than the first page of google. Reading from some post, I'm sure to find a lot of great information.

I'm planning (in no real time schedule) to take a 53' air suspension dry van to convert it to a "tiny house" that I would park on a 3 acres spot along a river and my inlaw's land in the winters.

My plans so far look like these attached.

I have absolutely no truck mechanical knowledge, and no formal training in construction, but I'm quite handy and can search on the web and learn from many source.

It might end up as a crazy-foolish project to never see the light again, but it doesn't hurt to dream I guess !

Welcome! The plans look good. I've always wondered why you don't see more dry van conversions.

I'm hoping to convert a dry van some day as well. Somehow I'll have to add a basement to it for extra storage and waste tanks. I'm not sure if it would be better to get a trailer that already has some storage compartments underneath, or to custom build something.

How do you plan to handle this?
