Truck Coach Coming Of Age!

As the baby boomer retire they are not planning to sit around and watch the grass grow at a local RV Resort. We have race cars, golf carts, motorcycles, boats and much more!We plan to take these toys with us on a vacation!

It appears the old class A motor home is giving up more ground each year to these next generation truck motor coach conversions. The traditional class A dealers are having a hard time competing with this new generation of coach and the Internet!

The Internet has changed the way we purchase auto, cloths and even motor homes. Why? The Internet allows the buyer to locate custom manufacturers and competing dealers with less overhead! Low over head equals lower prices to the comsumer. Did you know that Truck Motor homes sold via a retail dealer generates a 40% profit margin for the dealership? The dealers are afraid to see the 40% profit slipping away!

My question to my fellow Truck MotorHomes owners.

Why purchase these Next Generation Motorhomes in via a dealership?

Do your homework and locate a custom manufacture that will put that 40% profit into better parts! Longer warranties! Or your pocket!

Please post a list of all Custom Truck Manufactures not sold via Retail dealers!

Thanks Again!

.....slight change in numbers here....there is a doubling of cost at every level from supplier to manufacture to dealer to owner....Profit is much more than just 40% .... remember kickers from insurance and finance companies and of course the end of quarter-semi year and EOY bonus[kickers]....one motorhome that I was really interested in there was more mark-ups-in the neighborhood of 400%.....that's why I elected to build my own...I am the origional 'Mr. Cheapazz" himself.....when I die I'm taking it all with me-or I have spent it on women-which ever comes first.....geof kaye

S & S Welding is in Greenwood, Nebraska between Omaha and Lincoln.

K & S is somewhere in South Dakota.

I have seen motorhomes from both companies. The ones I have seen were not up to the quality of appearance, fit and finish of the companies that are regularly mentioned on this forum.

So just being custom doesn't necessarily better quality.

K & C Conversions is a good company for the person who would like to finish their own interior, they will do as much or as little of the conversion as you want.

RV Truckin-
If you or anyone needs info on ANY conversion Co. that has any internet presence, all one has to do is use their search engine to find out whatever they want. Your better-quality converters DO have websites AND give addresses, which BOTH Cowboy Cadillac and RV-Truck DO NOT. So quit blowing their horn for them. Or for yourself, whichever the case may be

In the latest response to my posting on this website. Warpath the operator attaches Cowboy Cadillac and Rv Truck for not posting an address on their site. Mr. Warpath stop looking at the Showhauler web site and please spend a little time investigation the other dealers and manufactures with web sites before making crazy statements!

Example One:

If the operator of this site would investigate the market he would learn Powerhouse Coach does not list an address nor a telephone number! Does that make Powerhouse coach a shady operation? I do not think so! The owner of Powerhouse sell 12 plus units a year. Not posting his address and telephone number works great for Powerhouse! Does that make Powerhouse a questionable company? If so please contact Powerhouse Coach Doug Talbort (Owner)at (208) 589-0015

Example Two

Crew Chief Is another example of a quality Toter home and hauler manufacture that does not display an address on their website! Does that make Crew Chief a questionable company. If so please Contact Sam Sharma (Sales Manager) Direct Line: 1-800-700-2865
Tel: (519) 923-2016 Fax: (519) 923-2672

In ten minutes I found (20) twenty major Rv Dealers and Manufactures that did not list a street address! Should I list them all? Does that make them questionable?

Then I read on! The next guy posts a personal attack!

This forum is showing it's true colors. That is why the operator and his freinds are defensive about a member exposing the facts! I am not a member of the sales staff for any Rv or Rv Truck company.I am a retired private investigator. I am just another guy with a truck motor home! I post information all over the internet. This is the first time I have been attacked for exposing the information that would be helpful to people visiting this site!

Dispute the slant by the operator of this site to plug one manufacture and it's dealers. This site may qualify as an education sight if additional information is added to assist the general public. It would be helpful to add vender's names for customer to locate parts, conversion companies and services! Not just plug one company.

One other point - to copy and paste the exact same response in every thread is annoying as hell.

Did you spend that long thinking it up that you have to keep repeating it to get your moneys worth?

Man I hate stupid people, you just annoy the crap out of me some days.

.....so what is your point here RV Truckin!...? To expand our list of questionable small businesses or to talk about what we are doing, buying and using? Why not come forward and tell us who you really are?....Everyone in Ohio is P.I.-the liscensing requirements are a joke. Kinda like chiropractors and massage therpists[though I go to one every Wednesday].........all this mystry is like a guy that sells trucks off just a website.....kinda shade treelike....geof kaye

Hey guys-
All this RVtruckin bozo likes to do is blow his own horn and repeat himself, to NO-ONE'S amusement or betterment. He just keeps blowing the same BS on different threads of this board hoping someone will agree w/him. Is this happening? NO. But he is ignorant of that fact, and a lot of other things. He's chicken to ID himself, so we'll never know who he is, nor really care. I just wish he'd go away and quit bugging us.
