how many have done it? Do you just need the toilet, stove, refrig? I tried looking at their website but that was not informational.
Thanks

I think RanD St. Clair built his camper and licensed it in CA. Maybe search around for his posts? He was calling it a "stealth camper" so maybe you'll find posts with that in them? I think he was going to go on the road and deep undercover when he finished his camper so he might be gone hiding now.

Find you a friendly DMV. Ours here in Ft Bragg gave us a paper listing what had to be done. We then put in a bed-drawers-area for a stove (we use a portable camp stove with a flexable line). A shower inclosure (we use a pump sprayer).
I think that was all to start. What they are looking for is the inability to convert it back into a commercial truck. Ours is a 20' box(total lenght30')
DMV told us that people have been putting in a portable tolet, fold down rv seat for a bed, register as a motorhome, then take everything out and use it for commerical. They want it so you can't go back to being a commercial rig.
Oh yea, we put a grey water tank under the shower inside of the box and plumed it to drain outside. We did that because we had to many side boxes we built to haul our junke.
We added a fridge a year later. I bet it would have been better if I had one in when we went to get it inspected.

Do you have any pics? Or more details on your truck sounds like what I want to do. What truck do you have? Whats your wheelbase and overhang to the rear? I had planned on getting one with a sleeper and converting that first amd registering it first. Did you single your truck?

For us here in Florida we simply had to tell the registrar to list it as a motorhome and not a truck. It really was that simple. They never saw it as we had the vin and mileage con- firmed at home by the local police who put that on a form. As we had just bought the truck in Ohio, the Ohio title even listed it as a truck and not a motorhome. There was no question about toilet, kitchen, or sleeping space. There is also no mention on the Florida paperwork that it was actually a Renegade conversion.
