Hey gang, Happy 4TH, hope you are all getting in your Rigs...I am bringing my truck in for a Wheel seal, while i am there i asked, and the factory recommended at 7000 miles a (PM SERVICE) i assume it is basically oil lube and filter. I googled PM service trying to find out specifics, has anyone ever heard this term? what is it? what does it stand for? Thanks Gene...

PMs usually stand for Preventative Maintenance. and of course that would be oil and filters

PM is a good thing.
But cost $$$
Yes, that is a trucking term for preventative maintenance. The good thing is you should get the truck labor rate rather than the rv labor rate.

pm used to stand for preventive maintenance. now its performed maintenance or planed maintenance service. some shops were sued by customers for not preventing major repairs on services. we recommend going miles or hours. 7,000 miles is about right or 250 hrs. at least twice a year if only going short trips.
