We're headed out to daytona on nov 22,23 and then over to Palatka Florida to hogwaller mud bog for some atv riding and to watch some mega truck racing. Headed back home to North Carolina on Sunday the 27th.
Anybody going to daytona for the turkey run? We stayed at south daytona and may want to try a new campground. We would like to get a large site so we don't have to unhook our trailer. 65 feet long combined.

Anybody going to the Performance Racing Industry trade show in Indianapolis December 8 - 10? We are heading out from California around the 29th of November depending on weather. If so,,, stop by and see me in booth 525. Ask for Rick.

Been to SEMA in Vegas, boats in Phoenix, NHRA finals in Pomona and now back in Vegas for the Street car Shootout. Oh yeah, then run back home and pick up the new car-wahoo.

I'm heading out for a road trip this week. Planning to pull out of Minnesota Thursday afternoon. Going to be at the www.tirerack.com headquarters in South Bend, Indiana, on Friday. They are one of the sponsors of the One Lap of America . My son and I competed in that race in 2012. The race starts this Saturday at Tire Rack. But everybody shows up on Friday for check-in and tech, and driver's meeting. Looking forward to visiting friends that we made in 2012. Then on to Westlake, Ohio, Friday evening. Picking up my brother and sister in-laws. Heading to Pittsburgh for the marathon on Sunday. Going to be camping at the PPG Arena Saturday and Sunday night. Heading back later Monday afternoon. We usually have cold beer in the fridge, and fresh chocolate chip cookies. I had to do a lot of work to install a gas oven for making those. The small convection/microwave just wasn't cutting it. It would be great to visit anybody along the way if you're nearby.

Just back from round trip NM to OH last week, about 3100 miles. Second trip this year and two more to go; although last one will be one-way NM to OH. That's with the motorhome. Made additional trip with my F-650 pickup pulling 26 ft enclosed trailer. F-650 trip was 32K total weight, had all my tools and many car parts, truck bed and trailer both stuffed full.
Reason is retiring and moving to Cincinnati OH. So been making trips out there to haul stuff. Have car trailer behind the MH each trip, with one of my old cars on it. Wife has been driving a vehicle also. Return trip put my small utility trailer on car trailer and have that behind the MH.
Racking up the miles on I-40 for sure! Been taking I-40 from NM to Nashville, then up I-65 to Louisville and I-71 to Cincinnati. Might be a little shorter taking I-44 out of OKC, but that is toll road and it costs too much, plus staying south was warmer route until recently.

I actually get more winter here than Cincinnati. I am in the east mountains of Albuquerque, at 7100 ft. I lived in the Cincinnati and KY area for over 10 years, i know what I am getting into. Plus being retired I don't have to get up and try to get to work in the snow and bad weather. That makes a big difference. Might also do some snowbirding for the coldest months of winter. Have to figure that out once settled in.
Building a big 50x70 detached garage to go with the 1770 sq ft house Will have room to put the motorhome inside and all my old cars and projects.
Wife has followed me around the country over 20 years, so now is time to let her live where she wants; and that is back near family in Cincinnati area.

Gonna take the coach up to Duluth next week for Grandma's Marathon. Not running it. I'm way too fat and old for that. Good friend's are running it so we're bringing them to camp with us. We'll ride our bikes to various spots on the course and yell for them to run faster. We'll be camping at the DECC (Duluth Event & Convention Center) in case anybody is around that area. Stop and say "hi." They don't reserve spots, first come first served. I'm hoping we can get a spot there.

Camped out at ocean lakes at surf side beach in South Carolina, first trip in the new motorhome. Still getting used to all this space! Going from a 16 foot toter to a 28 foot motorhome is a big upgrade!

Heading out from nc down to Palatka Florida. Going to spend thanksgiving riding atvs in the swamp at an off road park called hogwaller. We've been the last few years and always have a good time.
First time towing with the new motorhome, can't wait to try it out! I'll get some pics tomorrow after we get loaded and underway.

Oh snap, I've completely forgotten about this thread. I took a great 3 week trip in May and forgot to post it. Going to be taking the rig out end of July is the next scheduled. Hope to get it out sooner. I'll try to remember to post.

Made it back with no issues at all, truck and trailer performed excellent. 1083 miles averaged 7.14 mpg, not great, but that's including generator time. I also got in a hurry to get back home, 72-75mph is not good for fuel mileage! Lol!
