We went to Lake Livingston State Park weekend before last....
the park loop is pretty narrow w/ some fairly tight turns...and the SLOTS are even tighter.

with the help of some friends, that we were meeting there, spotting us (to make sure I didnt run off the edge of the park road or the RV slot) i managed to get into the slot...and we were <apparently> the entertainment of the day....you guys know how it is, every one watch each other to see who screws up.

on the way out my wife & oldest son played spotter - and admittedly i was better able to set up the exit - BUT....my wife got a little too close to the edge of the (narrow road)...and SLIPPED

I've merged these two threads - thanks for locating the old one - this is very cool to read through. Lots of great locations!

Good merge. Don, that's terrible news about Terri. I hope you got out of the spot okay without running her over. Just kidding. Looks like she's got some steel or titanium there now. Stronger than ever I hope.

Default Advice for heading into Cali

I have heard there are all types of "nuances" to the rules out there....any pointers before I step across the line?

We will enter from Nevada just south of Yosemite, head up to Tahoe, across to San Francisco then back out thru Barstow.

I was told to fuel in Nevada?

ouch. Man I feel for wife. My trip to Loiusville last week didn't end up to great either. After getting behind we decided to work 22 hours straight, sleep 4 hours and go again. Well..... to make a long story short, I ended up in the hospital with a heart cath. I'm headed to Avon Ohio tomorrow with a driver. The heart cath wasn't a lot of fun.

Getting close to firing up the truck for the first time this spring. We're heading on the road May 6th. Going to be at Mid Ohio Raceway for the May 8th One Lap of America ( One Lap of America ) event. Then on to Washington, DC, for the Law Enforcement Memorial Week events. We'll be "camping" in Vienna, VA, during that week. If anybody is near Mid Ohio come on out and we'll have a great time. The One Lap is great spectator fun.

Just going to head out to go to Lake Byllesby Campground. It's a Dakota County park located near Cannon Falls, MN. About 40 miles south of Minneapolis. Supposed to have nice hiking trails and biking trails. Since I retired in May I haven't been able to take the camper out except a road trip in June. I'm looking forward to taking the dog trail running a bit. My wife has to work. I'll miss her. Probably going to stay there a few days. Longest would be until Friday.

Planning a trip down to sunny Florida in April. Nothing like being on the road and taking in the sights and sounds.

We Minnesotans sure appreciate our campers more during the summer months since we can't enjoy them during the winter. I'm at least lucky enough to have mine in heated storage and I can work on it or just go hang out in it and pretend I'm camping.

Getting ready to take a trip. We're heading to Michigan on June 18th. Going to spend a few days in the Middleville area, near Grand Rapids I think. Then on to Fairfax County, Virginia, for the "World Police & Fire Games." I'll be racing in the bicycle races there. Staying at Lake Fairfax Park ( Lake Fairfax ParkÂ*- Fairfax County, Virginia ) from June 25-July 4. If anybody is in the Fairfax area during that time there will be lots to do with the Games. Love to visit with anybody too.

we're in Trailer Village (Grand Canyon, AZ) now.

drove out last thursday, overnighted in amarillo flying J

then friday got to bellemont az (west of flagstaff) and overnighted at the camping world store....rear coach roof air wouldnt run (heat strip & blower worked fine)....since it was raining in the CW parking lot (and i didnt wanna climb up on the roof) i swapped front/rear thermostats and proved - as i suspected that thermostat in the rear was the problem.

CW Bellemont ordered a new thermostat (didnt make me prepay, cause they ACTUALLY felt bad they didnt have on in stock)....we'll get it on thursday night when we move down to Williams, AZ til Monday.

good news - haven't needed AC (for the dog) till yesterday & we just kept the rear closed off....we'll very likely need air conditioning in williams if not by sedona....

Monday we'll move to Rancho Sedona for next week, then head home.

Just got back from the World Police & Fire Games in Fairfax County, Virginia. Had a great time. Put about 2500 miles on the rig. Brought the Audi in the trailer for getting around out there. Gotta clean it out and re-pack and then off to Michigan for my son's wedding. We'll be staying that the Double JJ Ranch. Sure will be glad when the wedding is over. Way too much work for this one.
