Progress: pass through and rear bench revised
I removed the rear 2/3 bench bottom that folds and the one piece bench back that covers the full width.
This left a driver side single fold up seat only.
I modified the rear seat back by cutting it up, and reupholstering the two smaller parts after revision.
I shortened the 2/3 passenger side bottom frame to the size of a single seat to match the DS.
I bought a very similar rear duplicate set of seats. I scavenged some bits of the back up rear cushion frame to weld into mine and facilitate mounting the two backs. I also harvested a second upright bracket so I could have a duplicate to the original one for the second seat, I did have to make a backing plate for under the truck with a nut to install the new bracket.
For now I used the back up rear seat cover, and it’s cushion on my shortened 2/3 frame. Later I’ll splurge to have a shop modify the original 2/3 cover for a better match. For now, I’m happy. Seat belts in place and to factory spec. Very safe for two in the back.
