I'm curious....how much was the tow?
i ran a set of (rear) tires 7+ yrs beyond the mfg production date, they never showed any signs of (vertical) fracturing and i had 10s of 1000s of miles on 'em...I can't remember if the rears were BFG or GoodYears.
I had a set of Michelins on the steers that were 1/2 the age that showed vertical fractures that i replaced.
I treat our tires with
303 UV Protectant (and RARELY) cover our tires, that said we are in covered storage.
