I'm not sure how you'd do it with a hinge? One thing I probably should have done is make the frame higher so that cross member up top is way up near the top of the opening. This would make it clearer access to put stuff in there when the tv is swung away. The drawback is it would have required me to do more welding over on the left side to make a spot for the wall bracket to mount to. And it would have required me to think ahead to the day I swing it open wanting to stuff something big in there and can't because of that top cross bar.
