Looks like you build it strong enough, I was thinking a piece of 3/4 stain wood to hide the inside and also use it to swing out with a piano hinge, but your making me rethink my plan....

I like that I can flip it out to aim toward the kitchen, or make it viewable from the one side of the dinette (other side is right under it). I can also easily get back there to mess with the wires or stuff some other items up there for storage.
