I talked to my blue sky rep today - he's saying the average increase (for texas) is 46% and he said everyones doing it. In texas insurers cant increase rates w/out Texas Government Insurance Commission approval (and its been improved).

He blamed it on repair costs and some BS of mfgs having gone out of business (no molds for fiberglass caps etc)....i laughed and said mine has none of that & my mfg is still in operation.

I have replacement insurance to 100k & if we lost the coach i would likely spend more than that to replace it.

my agent sells more than just Blue Sky & my policy is not up until late june...i told him to work up some quotes (including one from Blue Sky so i would know what my increase might be).

I told my agent, I'm SHOPPING rates and he's the first agent Ive talked to but he WONT be the last before june.
