I know I have not been on here in a while, but I am still working hard on the old International/Ambo/Camper. I post most of my build on the Expedition Portal, I guess I need to post em here to for you all.

A Prodcutive Weekend! - Expedition Portal!

I will try to get on here more often, just been busy. Hope everyone is doing well

Hay Dodger, good to hear you're still around and working on that rig. I'm liking the pics you have over there. I like red lights too. Very nice electrical work on that panel. I think you need a few more relays though, hahahaahah.

Do you have your build pictures like in a album somewhere? It's kind of time consuming to go through all those posts and pages to look for them.

Keep up the work and keep posting here.

Thanks,

I need to organize them somewhere, I try to take as many pics as possible. The draw to the expedition portal is that it is on tapatalk, so I can post easily from my phone.

Finally got the box mounted!

Lots of little things are getting done, wiring, metal work and mechanical issues. It is coming along at a decent pace now.

Modified the old lights with LED modules. Much brighter and uses a tenth of the power.

Retrofit the compartment lights with LEDs.

looks nice ! I did something similar. lighting in my bins was terrible (one 12v incandescent automotive bulb), stuck in a corner. Coverage was spotty at best.

I picked up some bright white LED strips (75 LED's per 20 inch long strip) & used dbl sided 3M automotive body side molding tap to stick them to the inside lip of the bin - the strips can be cut or soldered together to allow FULL coverage lighting.

I built some shelves in for my bins and nearly doubled the storage space...and added lighting / coverage for the top & bottom shelves.

I used these (they seemed cheap at the time) - but now you can buy a 17 foot flexible LED strip/roll (multi color if you wish) for less that what 2 strips cost.

In fact i used a $24 - 17ft strip of the flexible roll for my outside awning lighting - its much better than the single incandescent bulb "porch" light and i can change the color (to eliminate glare or avoid attracting bugs).
