Well for those that read the Martin Diesel fiasco, I thought I would finish the story and tell you of my experience with another company.

I did order an Onan QD6000 from a dealer who promised its arrival in three days. I took three WEEKs to get my money back when it was never delivered. My gen luck continues.

Anyhow, Creative Mobile Interiors has had a reputation for years for being a top notch place, but until now I didn't have personal experience with them. I wanted someone to take over the whole installation and never worry about Gen sets again. Since they do it all the time, I called them. The first thing they wanted was to see the vehicle. So I took it up there last week and they brought out an electrician and an engineer.

Today I got there at 6:30 AM and they came out like a NASCAR pit crew, climbing all over Grande Rojo. They had the new Onan in the air making a template. There was a man taking the old box apart, two electricians running a new harness, an exhaust "guru" customizing a new exhaust, and three more crew running fuel lines, modifying the doors and supports. ... shew!! It was a site to see. They installed the new gen set, new (including a new shore power cable) in one day.

Needles to say, I was very please and very impressed.

Isn't it great watching a crew of professionals knock out a job in a day that would take you a month of your spare time? I shudder to think what the install must have cost, considering we are a bunch of cheap do it your selfers on this site. Glad to hear you are happy with the job.

You're right, it wasn't cheap, but it wasn't that bad for a final solution to the gen probs. Here are some pics of the place.

I pass their shop by I-71 south of Columbus quite often, and the place is usually surrounded by million dollar Prevost tour buses, and just assumed they would be way too pricey for the likes of us. They also were featured on Extreme RV's on the travel channel.

Could you tell of the Prevost buses were entertainer/crew buses? or high end family RV types deals?

there was some of each. There was a Nationwide insurance disaster relief coach, some hi end family units, and I think the red one was actually getting some new bunks added for entertainers

The Mauck II (sprinter frame) coaches were particularly interesting. a whole new outer skin that makes tons of room. At $100k, they ought to be.

Used them about a year ago...

They were restoring a Flxble 50's bus into a motorhome....

They installed a/c on my car hauler....will use them again....good job..easy to talk to...

Started by a guy from Columbus Coach when they were converted to building government bid vehicles...

I know they take care of C-Span buses....

Saw a Prevost in there for service also...
