Hello, Im not sure where to go for any info so I'll start here. I have a 1993 FREIGHTLINER FLD11264ST with a l 10 330 hp cummins and wanty to use it to haul my 2000 Damon Challenger but unsure if I need to modify anything. Hope some can help, thank you. Oney

welcome, tell us more about you intended uses and a bit more about that Damon Challenger..

I think it's a 38' fifth wheel trailer. Cool. Your truck should pull it okay. You'll want to take off the commercial 5th wheel hitch and install a rv type hitch. The commercial 5th wheel hitch doesn't have any side to side pivot action. This puts too much strain on the hitch of the camper trailer. You'll also want to install a jackalopee for the wiring. Then you'll need to figure out how to install a brake controller. I'm glad you've found truckconversion.net. This is a cool forum. But, there is another forum full of guys that use trucks to pull 5th wheels: HDT - Escapees Discussion Forum . I bet you'd find more info than you can imagine there. Don't leave us, just expand there. How about some pictures of that bad boy truck too?
